How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

said Dudley, “it is a Frisbee.” Once he said it, it became obvious that’s what it was. They were tossing a Frisbee from opposing sides of the courtyard. How they’d made one, I couldn’t say. Obviously it wasn’t made of plastic. The shouts continued as we got closer. Two people by the sounds of it. “Sick Hammer!” “Chicken wing!” The voices stopped as we passed through the entrance. “Hey,” I said. “How’s it going?” The interior of the fort was like a small town. There was a large main building and then dozens of smaller ones. The place had an eerie, empty feel to it. Other than the two tossers.

Nanny for the Billionaire

Nanny for the Billionaire

But despite the undercurrent of awkwardness, our time together with Chris was filled with laughter and spontaneous outings. One evening, we decided to have a movie night. But not just any movie night—Chris had the brilliant idea, according to him, to build a fort. We’d gathered every pillow and blanket we could find and constructed a fortress right in the middle of the living room. It had been a haphazard structure, built with blankets draped over chairs and stacked pillows.

Worthless to Priceless: The Alpha's Rejected Mate

Worthless to Priceless: The Alpha's Rejected Mate

* * * Twenty minutes later I was on the couch and I genuinely could not explain what had happened to my living room. Every blanket in the house. Every pillow. He'd pulled the big ones off the bed, the decorative ones off the chairs, even the throw from the hall closet that still had tags on it. The couch was buried. There was a blanket draped over the back cushions making a roof. "What is this," "Fort." He adjusted one of the corner pillows. "Get in, princess." I got in without any further hesitation.

This was such an amazingly interesting story. Right up until the end. Did you get tired of writing it? Were you unsure of where else the story was headed? I feel like things were going great and then <BAM!> brick wall. Epilogue… the end. So many loose ends left unanswered. Loved it regardless.

When he heard me approach, he turned around, his face lighting up when he saw me. “Ready?” he asked, a glint of excitement in his eyes. I nodded, my curiosity piqued even more. “Ready for what?” “Come with me.” He took my hand and led me back up the stairs to our playroom where we usually spent time together. Inside, he had transformed the room into a cozy fort made of blankets and pillows. The blankets were draped over chairs and couches, creating a small, enclosed space that looked like something out of a fairy tale. Soft string lights twinkled from the corners of the room, casting a warm glow over everything. Inside the fort, there was his laptop set up on a small table, surrounded by pil

The Game of Heavens and Earth

The Game of Heavens and Earth

“It’s small, yes. But we have the home advantage and the element of surprise. We know this forest like the back of our hands.” “Then why haven’t you done this earlier,” Wilt inquired. “We could, but there’s one problem,” Chief Perry admitted. “They have Mount Fort.” “Mount Fort! The Mount Fort!” Raja bellowed, dumbstruck. Zeki and the Dragonhearts left speechless. “What’s a Mount Fort?” Brock asked. While everyone recognized the name, newcomers like us had no idea what it meant. “Not what, who,” Zeki replied. “Mount Fort is a mountain brave. Meaning, he can turn into a living mountain.”

Loving the Bad Boy Series

Loving the Bad Boy Series

"A treehouse kind of thing. Put it together myself so I know it's solid." "I don't remember seeing any trees back there." "Yeah, there's not. I guess it's more of a fort, since it's built on the ground. But I prettied it up and put some girl stuff inside, like a little mini bake oven and some Barbies." Amy's jaw dropped. "When did you get them all that stuff? When did you have time to build a fort?"

I decided to sleep shirtless as I patted my hair dry. "Wah!" Startled, I blinked and tried to sit up. I laughed because my butt was practically swallowed by the immensely soft mattress. I jumped around childishly for a bit before plopping down. The blanket was of velvet and I rolled around, completely obsessed with my new room. 'If I ever decide to make a fort, I'll create one on this bed. It'll be so nice to snuggle deeper, especially during winters.' I slid under the covers and the second my head came in contact with the pillow, I fell asleep.

Unwanted Nerd: Chased By The B-Ball Stars

Unwanted Nerd: Chased By The B-Ball Stars

The question hung in the air between us, weighted with implications that neither of us wanted to voice. "We can put a pillow in between us," I offered, moving one of the throw pillows at the head of the bed to my side. The pillow was smaller than the others, covered in the same navy fabric as his towels, and it felt substantial enough to create a proper barrier. My fingers brushed against the soft cotton as I positioned it carefully down the center of the bed.

One Week to be Loved by a Billionaire

One Week to be Loved by a Billionaire

An idea came to mind and I know he will see this as childish but it's the only thing that can solve the issue right now. I matched to the head of the bed, grabbed two pillows and arranged them straight down the middle of the mattress. A makeshift wall is what I was building. I grabbed another two and stacked them on top of the first line. I turned to Cassian and pointed at the pillow wall with a proud smile on my face. His eyebrow raised, “That won’t hold” I deflated, my smile strained. “It will, if we both stay on our side, this is better than you sleeping on the ground” I placed my hands on my waist and gave him a pointed stare, daring him to argue.

The Billionaire Hidden Triplets.

The Billionaire Hidden Triplets.

I couldn’t help but smile at how much joy these little moments brought us. As we dug into our breakfast, Damian launched into a story about the fort they wanted to build that day. “And we’ll use every pillow in the house! It’ll be the biggest fort ever!” he declared, his face lighting up with enthusiasm. “That sounds epic!” I encouraged. “We’ll need a secret entrance and maybe a lookout tower!” “Yeah! And a snack station!” Dante chimed in, his mouth full of pancake. “A snack station is a must!” I agreed, laughing. “What snacks are we putting in our fort?”
