“Come see what I made, Mommy!”
“What did you make?” I asked, letting him tug me toward the living room.
Carlisle followed behind us, his footsteps quiet but steady.
Erwin had created a makeshift fort out of blankets and cushions, and he was eager to show me every detail. “Dada bought me the big blanket!” he said proudly.
“You’re a nice little architect, baby.” I said with a smile, crawling inside the fort with him.
Carlisle leaned against the wall, watching us with an amused expression. “He’s been making forts since he learned how to lift things on his own. He insisted it wasn’t perfect until it was ‘Mommy-approved.’”
