Despite the frustration that flashed in her eyes, Pixie simply nodded and held up a balled up hand with only her pinky sticking out. "What’s this?" I asked, eyeing it. "Pink promise." Pixie explained. "You lock your pinky with mine and then we shake." "Oh." Feeling annoyed by having to have something explained to me by a child, I did as she said, and we shook. Satisfied that our promise was set in stone, Pixie dropped her hand and scurried back to where Lindsey stood watching.
