Claws extended, I swiped at Roger, but he sidestepped and landed a solid blow to my chest. The impact sent me stumbling backward. Seizing the moment, Roger pinned me to the ground. His strength is on another whole different level entirely. "Your reign is over, Little Rascal," Roger sneered, his hot breath on my face. Roger says, and Marie nearly goes gaga. Mr. Roger, whom she's never met, is promising her marriage. She is supposed to be confused or something, but that doesn't even cross her mind. Mr. Roger is among the top ten richest men in the city and he is single, so promising her marriage isn't to tease her or anything, so she thinks. To her, it is a dream come true for her; what else could she possibly ask for? "Are you telling me the truth?" she gushes impatiently.
