I picked up my pace, dragging a startled Leo along as I hugged them both. Mark directed the other guards with subtle gestures, placing them at nearby tables, close enough to see us without hovering.
“Finally!” Chloe laughed. “We were about to order without you.”
“Sorry,” I said, breathless. “Traffic.”
Isabella shrugged. “It’s fine. I’m starving. Ordering first.”
Leo climbed onto his chair, eyes shining as the menus appeared. “I want pizza! Do they have pizza?”
