Chapter One. Aurora's POV* I hurriedly applied the finishing touches to my almost-perfected makeup and took a long stare at my reflection in the mirror. The person that stared right back at me was all shades of beauty and perfection, unlike the person on the other side of the mirror. I took out my phone and was about to dial a number when I heard a loud horn just outside my window. I quickly took my purse from my bedside table and walked majestically down the stairs, and over to the door, opened it slowly, and stood transfixed on the spot.

At my grave, he reached out to touch the photo carved into my tombstone, his smile radiant, though his eyes brimmed with sorrow. "If only the old tales of lovers turning into butterflies were real," he murmured. And in that moment, I felt myself transform—my soul taking shape as a butterfly. I fluttered down, landing softly on his shoulder. He lifted a hand and brushed the edge of my fragile wings. A single tear fell from his eye. Then suddenly, blood spilled from his lips. He collapsed in front of my grave. Moments later, another butterfly appeared beside me. Together, we circled freely in the wind, then soared higher and higher, toward an endless horizon.

Igho asked, curiosity getting the better part of her. "Tell me her I*******m handle lemme follow her abeg" Ima said quickly bringing her phone out. "You don't have to worry about that cause she's in this room" "Ehn?" Igho and Ima said at the same time. I almost laughed. "Well it's Lola here" Aunty Jojo giggled giving me a side hug which I accepted shyly. "It's a lie!" Ima said wide eyed. I laughed softly. "It's true o" Laila chirped.

He collided with the wall then fell on the ground with a loud thud. Using a spell, Marsha tied Mira with the ropes of her power. Mira tried to move but instead, she fell on the ground. "Your child is mine. I will take it's soul to my masters. They will reward me with amazing power." Marsha roared at Mira and tried to stab Mira with the sword Lucifer had sent for Mira. Sierra threw the ninja blades on Marsha and one of the blades went through Marsha's belly. She spat blood as she fell on the ground, clutching her stomach. Mira's eyes glowed and she broke free from the spell ropes.

The stranger peeped over Jaden's shoulders to look at Matilda, and smiled at her again. “Let the pretty lady decide herself” Jaden placed his hand on the strangers chest and pushed him, he was almost falling. Matilda gasped and got up instantly. “I told you to back off!”

"Mr. Miller, how can you be so calm? He copied us!" I patted him on the shoulder to calm him down. "Don't worry. I'll handle this." Thunderous applause erupted in the hall, accompanied by the sound of cameras clicking away. Satisfied with the response, Leo asked, "Any questions?" Silence fell over the room again. Leo nodded smugly and was just about to continue when I called out, "I have an objection!"

Scowling, Miracle poured every last ounce of power into the sword's surge, her voice a harsh whisper. "Now!" She sprang her arms apart.

To celebrate the bumper harvest, the town mayor, Harold Boone, organized a movie screening. Tom had gone to Evervale City to deliver potatoes to our children that day. Not wanting to go alone, I skipped it. On the way to the screening, my neighbor, May Collins, called me and told me to hurry up, saying she had something juicy to tell me.
