The Apocalypse Hoarder

The Apocalypse Hoarder

This time, he would be ready. After breakfast, he checked his pocket dimension. To his delight, the meat, fruit, and vegetables he had left there overnight remained unchanged. Meat was hard to judge in just a day, but fruit and vegetables usually spoiled quickly. Inside the pocket dimension, they looked as fresh as if he had bought them yesterday. "My pocket dimension exists outside this world. Maybe time works differently there. It could move slower or even stand still. Incredible. This means I can store anything I want without a single worry," he murmured.

The Alpha's Princess

he replies, "I'm surprised you packed so quickly. What did you bring?" "Just a set of clothes," I say dryly, "it's not like you gave me room to pack anything else." "True." He lets out a big, hearty laugh. "You couldn't have given me a bigger bag?" I complain, but he shakes his head. "Look, I have a debit card, and that's what counts. It has all our money on it. We can buy what we need." "But-" "We have to keep it light," he insists gently but firmly, "we can't have you dragging a backpack around." I immediately give up as I look at the floor. They simply don't know what it's like to be a girl.

A teen again

All that he wore showed just how rich he was. They were quite several gangs in black in the room. Each had a gun in his hand, AK-47 precisely. "Indeed it has been a while since we saw each other" Peter confirmed the man's statement. “Where have you been all this while, Peter? We have not done business for a while now” the chubby man spoke as he stretched. His hand to Peter for a handshake. “It has been quite a while indeed, Mr. Pablo and I really missed doing business with you ” Peter affirmed while returning the handshake to the chubby man.

The pocket

The pocket

He carefully wrapped the canvas pieces together with strips of fabric he tore from his own clothes. His most precious find, however, was a cache of dried berries and seeds. He recognized some of them from his childhood – hardy plants that survived even the harshest conditions. These would offer a meager source of sustenance during his journey. He meticulously stored them in the pockets of his jacket and secured his metal bucket and canvas patches to his backpack, every piece of his scavenged hoard precious. He even managed to salvage a broken piece of mirror, reflecting only a distorted image, yet invaluable for checking his condition.

I said. "And the outside pocket," he said. "For the survey notebook." "Yes," I said. He looked at the sketch. He touched the outside pocket drawing. "Flat so it doesn't bulk," he said. "Yes," I said. "So I can tell what page I'm on without taking it out," he said. I looked at him. "Can you?" I said. "I can feel the page through the cover," he said. "If the pocket is flat enough." He paused. "The current coat has a round bottom pocket. The notebook gets lost in it."

CRAVE (ENGLISH VERSION)

CRAVE (ENGLISH VERSION)

When she sat down, she noticed Jason holding a wallet. The young man opened the wallet he was holding and then took a small prayer book from there. Jenny smiled. She also has that in her wallet. "Oh, why are you smiling?" She did not notice that Jason is looking at her. "Ah, nothing!" she said. "Oh really huh?" Jason's unconvinced response. Embarrassed Jenny laughed softly. "It's the prayer book, I also have something like that in my wallet," she said truthfully.

Shadows of Silk & Steel: A Billionaire's Secret, A Bodyguar

Shadows of Silk & Steel: A Billionaire's Secret, A Bodyguar

There was nowhere left to hide. He had to go. Now. Hobbling to his feet, his body a symphony of fresh agony, he began to search the body. No wallet. No phone. No ID. The clothes were plain, mundane. A phantom. But phantoms sometimes carried messages. In the front pocket of the man's tactical pants, his fingers brushed against something small and rectangular. He pulled it out. It was a flash drive. Smooth metal, plain except for one word etched in a sharp, modern font:

Plaything in one's palm

Plaything in one's palm

Lynn asked, his voice raspy from disuse and tension. The man ignored the question. "Empty your pockets. Everything." He held out a small duffel bag. A cold knot tightened in Lynn's stomach. He complied, his movements slow. He had little on him: the keycard to his old apartment—a useless relic, the few dollars he'd managed to hide, a worn sketchbook, a pencil. He dropped it all into the duffel bag. It felt like shedding a skin, a life. The man's eyes fell on the music player, still clutched in Lynn's hand. "That too."

His Lordship Alexander Kane

His Lordship Alexander Kane

Half a year without pay? Alexander's gaze narrowed slightly. A wisp of spiritual power emanated and swept over the three men before it stopped. There was almost nothing in the pockets of their jackets. They did not even have their ID cards with them. There were only a few small notes in their pockets, totaling less than a hundred dollars, and in their trouser pockets were mobile phones, about seven or eight years old, that could not even download and install an app. How could they send and receive money with such an old phone? These people were poor!

I was hooked in reading this book. But why the sudden ending? It doesn’t make any sense. Still have alot of loose endings what happened to black maple master? The jade pendants? This is pure money making stint.
