the billonaires secretary

the billonaires secretary

It was open late, and the soft lighting inside looked like a scene from another world. I pushed the door open and stepped inside. The scent of old pages and wood polish welcomed me like a friend. I didn’t even look at the titles at first I just wandered the aisles, brushing my fingers along the spines of hardcovers, letting the silence cradle me. I paused in the poetry section. There was something honest about poetry. No filler. No fluff. Just raw, unfiltered emotion. I picked up a slim volume by an author I didn’t recognize and flipped through the pages of the book. I wasn't going to read it. it had coffee brown pages and if I knew anything that book was going to get me wrecked and I wasn’t

What Nobody Sees

What Nobody Sees

Besides, I don't see what's interesting about those books, they're just pages with words on them. —Aida, you're talking about a trilogy and it's not. Besides, books aren't just pages with words on them, each book is magical, with a great story or adventure waiting to be read, with characters you can fall in love with or hate as if they were real, who will only live in your mind since they won't come out of those pages. It's an escape from reality, in conclusion. —Well, I don't plan to live that, since I love the real world even if it seems like shit sometimes. Besides, have you seen how thick those books are? —I roll my eyes. —You'll die before finishing reading them.

The Stranger Who Stayed:When Fate Knocks Once

The Stranger Who Stayed:When Fate Knocks Once

"Good night." He went home. He put his three books on the shelf in the order he intended to read them. He stood in his living room, which felt occupied again in the way it had begun to feel occupied since last Wednesday, and thought about side-by-side versus face-to-face, and a poetry section, and when prose feels like too much scaffolding for the thing being said. He took the poetry collection off his shelf — he owned one, had owned it for years, had read it twice and not returned to it — and sat on the sofa with it for the first time in a long time and thought about how some things required less scaffolding.

Midnight Strokes

Midnight Strokes

It no longer felt like hiding; it felt like breathing. She met him at a small independent bookstore in Al Quoz—a converted warehouse with high ceilings, exposed brick, shelves that reached toward skylights. She was in the poetry section, running her fingers along spines of Warsan Shire and Safia Elhillo, when a voice—low, calm, slightly accented—came from the aisle behind her. “You read her like someone who’s lived every line.” She turned.

WANTED BY THE ALPHA BROTHERS

WANTED BY THE ALPHA BROTHERS

Books about herbs, waters, potions, magic and all sorts of healing techniques, along with history books were my favorite reads and luckily for me this dusty, abandoned library was chock full of em. I slide a finger over the spine of the book I was reading currently, suddenly an image of Zander sliding his finger up and down my spine yesterday night suddenly invaded my mind. I groan and drag the book out it's position on the shelf and walk over to the small chair and desk set up by the window to read. And yet even as I attempt to absorb the meaningful words of information my mind is invaded once again by a certain green eyed Prince.

His little Angel

His little Angel

Theodora asked, what made the books so interesting that Madeline wouldn't even look up to see where she was going. "There's something about a good book, that's makes you forget about your whereabouts. Like this one i was reading this line before I almost bumped into the doorpost.." *The light on her eyes were like dying embers, soft and warm. Over time there'd be nothing left but ashes..* Theodora nodded she could feel herself imagining it and it looked beautiful.. We're books always this fun to read, maybe Madeline would show her some good books, Theodora thought to her self.

Tuberose

Tuberose

Forever bound by Tuberose's art, In the Fragrance of Love, we'll never depart. As I finish reciting the poem, my heart is filled with a profound sense of connection and appreciation for the words that have touched my soul. At this moment, I realize the power of Tuberose's poetry to capture the essence of love and evoke emotions that transcend time and space. With the book held close to my heart, I continue to delve into its pages, immersing myself in the fragrant world of love that Tuberose has created.

Nice story so far. Keep it up author but I think author should improve in her tenses and grammar. The story is nice one, I like the way she gave glimpses of what would happen in the story in the future. Nice book and story line author, keep it up. But Michael seemed pompous for my liking.
Anie Angel
The story is great, the way you portrayed how your closed one (best friend ) can turn into a foe with time, how in one second everything changes and it hurts when you know you are right but no one trusts you. Well done btw, good luck

THE MATE THE ALPHA NEVER CHOSE

THE MATE THE ALPHA NEVER CHOSE

He knew just how much I loved the store. To say I loved my bookstore was an understatement. It was my life. While it wasn't the biggest one you would find, I knew just how much time and effort I put into this place, making it the marvel it was today. I looked around, staring at the frames that colorfully adorned the walls. Amid the stacks of books, I breathed in the scent of printed pages, and man, didn't I love it. The symphony of literary aromas moving in the air always brought a sort of serenity to my lonely mind. I couldn't say just why, you know. But you know one thing? Everything could fail you, but books will always be there. They will always welcome you into their arms. Always. I oft

she asked, her concern evident in her voice. I looked up, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. "Yes, everything's fine," I replied, the warmth of the poem still lingering in my heart. "I just found something unexpected in this book—a beautiful poem about white tulips." In every petal, a story is told. Of love's embrace, both young and old. So let us cherish these bright flowers. Their beauty is pure; it is a guiding light. In their bloom, we find a sign, Even in darkness, hope will shine.

The Mafia King Prisoner

The Mafia King Prisoner

Stepping into the vast expanse, I was greeted by the scent of old books and the hushed whispers of fellow seekers of wisdom. The library was a labyrinth of shelves, each filled with countless tales waiting to be devoured. I navigated through the maze, my fingers gently grazing the spines of books, as if seeking a connection with the stories within. The soft glow of reading lamps cast a warm ambiance, creating pockets of tranquillity amidst the bustling world outside.
