His chest was filled with pain. He quickly took out the medicine he had prepared and drank it with the water. Lauren really wanted to kick the door open. but she turned around and left in a huff. and she went to find Daphne . ... ..... .... I love him, even as he unleashes his anger upon me, using me as a vessel to vent his frustrations, whether or not they are related to me. None of it matters. In the eyes of the outside world, I may be deemed crazy, a martyr to my own suffering. But the truth remains—I am willing to sacrifice my very life for a man who continuously inflicts pain upon me. In my distorted perception, pain and love have become entwined, inseparable forces that define my existence.

Another tear rolled down my cheek. “Tell me that you didn't feel anything.” He said and continued. “That your heart didn’t race, that you don’t burn for me as I burn for you— That this distance isn’t killing you as much as it kills me!” He pressed on and his heavy breaths hit my skin. I shut my eyes and bit back a sob. Why was love so painful? “Tell me, Amber,” Alexander pressed on. “Tell me that you do not love me. That you do not desire me as I desire you.” my eyes slowly opened and I parted my lips to tell him that I loved him — that I cared about him.

I turned to him as my smile faded followed by a clench in my chest. “Not all memorable journeys are beautiful.” I muttered, gritting my teeth. “Suffering is assured in love, they say.” Jasper laughed, trying to reassure me but it didn’t help. There's nothing in between and will never be. “It is not a journey of love where one can bore everything for the sake of the destination. Pain is beautiful when you are in love not when-” I scoffed, pausing for a moment. “Not when…?” He curiously waited for my response. Sighing, I looked down, completing my words.

Ethan They say love is relief. I don’t believe that now. When you love someone, you burn in a fire that keeps licking at your skin, peeling off another layer of you every moment of your life. You burn…and burn…until you have burned to ashes. Then, you rise to burn again. That’s what love is. It’s painful. It’s patient. It’s the name of enduring in silence. I lay in bed for minutes, but couldn’t… so I went through my suitcase and pulled out my Kindle and browsed through it until I found a poetry collection on life. I opened it and began reading… with the hopes of finding something cozy that would cause me to be able to sleep peacefully after… But then on the next page… the poem caused me to choke, as tears slowly began to blur my vision. Nobody told me Love would hurt Like this… Nobody warned Me that grieving, For a love, I thought was true and whole, Could threaten to Swallow me whole. Nobody told me, That my heart could hurt so much That I felt like tearing It's out and apart,

One of the most painful things on earth is to lose a loved one. Whether in death or heartbreak. It's a pain different from all others. You feel every burn, every ache, your senses awaken, and greedily await a memory to sip in and then wreck your entire being. She took everything. His Light. His Heart. His Soul. It had no end. For years it went on like it would never end. But, it did. He ended it all.
