Bitten
I’d seen his type before, five long years ago.
The other thing that felt all wrong was the anticipation in his voice, the almost joy at the thought of carrying out his plan. To him, biting someone, hurting them, was no big deal. The effect it would have on them, on their lives didn't matter in the least, from what I could tell. To Zachary the people he chose to bite were there to serve his plan, they weren't real to him.
He left, heading back towards the bedroom and I heaved a sigh of relief at no longer sharing space with him.
