As I weave through the chaos, my eyes catch a familiar face—Blade. Blade had been the Gamma when I was Beta of the Black Moon Pack. Together, we had helped Zane become an Alpha who was both feared and respected, shaping the pack into a force to be reckoned with. Seeing him now, standing in the middle of the battlefield, brings a surge of anger to my chest, a fiery rage that threatens to consume me. “Blade,” I growl, my voice dripping with fury as I push my way towards him. “You’ve got a lot of nerve showing your face here after everything you’ve done.”

“Let us celebrate her return and the strength of the pack.” A loud cheer erupted, voices rising together in support. Without hesitation, he tilted his cup and drank deeply, signalling to the others that they should do the same. Aiden lifted his cup to his lips and seeped just a little bit the moment he did that, something shifted. A sharp, bitter taste spread across his mouth—not the sweetness he expected. His entire body tensed, his hand freezing midair as his senses sharpened. There's nothing else he could call what he thought it was… he had been poisoned.

He said rubbing her shoulders. "Noah!" She croaked and hiccuped as she cried with all her heart. "He doesn't d-deserve that!" She stuttered and wiped her tears holding his only bracelet that fell. "I know Mia, he doesn't deserve that." BLAZE VIEW. Blaze was in his human form, fighting off the rogue warrior in one second, he ripped their head off with anger and his eyes glaring at nowhere. There was he, his only objective was to kill the rogue alpha without any mercy.

He remembered her words and without any thought, he darted out of the roots of the tree. Alex watched in calm as Weaver opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted when the motion of a red blur shot out from underneath the slightly uprooted roots of a tree. Weaver was about to give chase but was stopped by Alex, who gently bit down on his tail. "Do not give chase." Alex said firmly and Weaver pulled his ears to his head but nodded while looking into the direction the red blur had run in.

They hesitated, staring at the small pile of cash. Finally, Little Blade spat on the floor. “Stop the posturing, you little witch! Get out of the way!” He lunged forward, his hand shooting out to grab the money. But his hand was caught mid-air, clamped in a grip that felt like frozen steel. The icy touch sent a shockwave of nausea through his body. Before he could react, Skylar’s small hand rotated violently, and a series of wet, sickening CRACK sounds echoed in the small room. Little Blade’s arm twisted instantly into a grotesque, impossible shape—like a broken toy.

Panic flashes in his eyes as realization sinks in. “What— what did you do to me?” he chokes out, coughing violently. “What is this?” “Poison. And once it reaches your heart…” Seth presses the blade to Dagon's chest, smirking. “...you'll only have seconds to live. The pain will be the worst thing you'll ever experience. I'll be generous enough to let Kieran and Sage watch their father in his last moments, maybe I'll send them to you afterwards,”

I said quietly. The conversation around the table died. All eyes turned to me. Josh frowned. “Why? We just started eating.” I curled my hands beneath the table, pressing my fingers into my palms. “I don’t eat lobster,” I muttered. A sharp, mocking laugh cut through the silence. Sophia. She leaned back in her chair, smirking. “How would you know how to eat it?” she said, tilting her head. “It’s made for the rich, not for people who use their bodies to get where they’re not meant to be.”

The man pulled me violently and with his great strength I ended up on the right side behind him in a place where the monsters couldn't reach me. Three more tried to rush us, but they didn't do anything the way the crazy man kicked. If his behavior wasn't bad I might have applauded him. I thought he was winning consecutively, but my eyes widened when he bit his shoulder. I heard him scream in pain.

This time, I chanted a bit louder so he could hear I was doing something. Slowly, his eyes opened and met my gaze. I was assuming the pain subsided as it did in mine. Lourdes told me this spell was painful for both parties, but mine felt almost nothing — just an ant bite on my neck, and then it was gone. If my guess was right, the bond between us allowed Blade to take all the pain, as I was sure he would not grunt if it weren’t too painful. He had a high tolerance for physical pain. A triumphant smile curled on my lips the moment the last word left my throat, and I felt something seal on my skin.

The pain of it was a physical white–hot agony in my shared chest. The hesitation was all Blade needed. The curse, fed by that fresh, devastating pain, surged back with a vengeance. The grey in his eyes vanished, swallowed by the violent red-blue. *I’LL SHOW YOU STRONG!* With a snarl that held no humanity, Blade’s clawed paw shot out. It wasn’t a swipe to wound. It was a killing blow. Fast, brutal, final. The girl’s whimper was cut off. Silence, except for the drip of the rain and Blade’s heavy panting.
