"So just die peacefully. Once you've turned to ash, I'll be Damien's one and only love." Then, I removed the SIM card from my phone and severed all contact through our blood vow. In the last twenty hours before I turned to ash, I had finally accomplished one remarkable thing. Now, I just wanted to walk the final stretch of my path in peace. The sky had completely darkened, and the neon lights outside the motel flickered with a harsh glare. I dragged my weak body out of the room and headed toward the old antique district on the edge of the city. It was the only place in this world that might still accept me.

“Where, or what? Which one would you like to get now? Or will it be both? You decide.” Julianne knew what he was talking about. He was asking if she wanted to get the book now or get answers to the questions she had. And if she wanted both, she would have to visit the boy’s dormitory. “What is he talking about?” Marianne asked her. Cassian tilted his head to the side and said to Marianne, “So you are Ash’s new friend.” Julianne couldn’t think straight at the moment, especially when Maximus was looking at her like he knew something about her. And one thing she knows is that it was one of the two that gave her friend the bite marks. And yet, she had to help Marianne out.

I breathed out. The man closest to me looked down at me and smirked as he nudged the shirtless one in the arm and he nodded, stripping out of his pants quickly and before I could even register his nakedness, his skin bagan to ripple, his face becoming unrecognizable as his skull changed shape. I heard bones popping as his stance changed. In less than a minute, I was staring into the eyes of a massive brown wolf. "Brody, Jessie and Clyde, at your service," he said, gesturing to himself, the other male standing beside him and then lastly at the wolf.

I made my way through the dark corridors of the dungeon, my heart burning with a desire for revenge. I had been betrayed by Luciana, the very person I thought was my friend and ally. But now, I was determined to make her pay with her blood. I reached the cell where Sam and Morris were being held, and I could see the fear in their eyes as they looked up at me. "Who are you?" they chorused together. "The spirit that has been haunting you. I am Ashley, the Luna you all killed." They were white with horror and their teeth clattered in an attempt to speak.

We just had to wait a little longer maybe after the fifth pain I was sure it would be too late for Ash to do anything then. “I don’t like it. Baku found Lee. He even knew her favorite class. I can’t risk him finding her again.” Ash sounded strained. He tightened his grip around me. “Just in case…” Ash paused and then Baku’s face popped in my head. “You all now know what he looks like. Run and hide if you see him.” Ann and Maria gasped. “How did you do that?” Ann asked Ash wide eyed. “I just placed his face in your mind,” Ash answered her.

She shifted to face the small window, viewing the moon which was coincidentally on the right angle of the small space, although misted by the passing clouds. Part of her wanted to shout, make a mess, claw at herself, yet her joints had long gone weak. For what reasons? Was it the tiredness? She didn't know. But for sure, what was left of her spent strength left her spirit. None of them hadn't seen their Alpha's injuries during the war, but they had always trusted him. So much that they believed he was a David against a Goliath, even if they ironically never gave the mortal Bible an inch of the value they give their moon goddess.

This time, Ash closed his eyes and sighed out in defeat before nodding to himself and speaking again. "I've just been thinking about mum more lately." Ash looked at the ground, afraid that if he so much as glanced up at Ms Vento's face, he'd break down into ugly tears. She reminded him of his mother more than anyone else he knew. "I miss her and I wish I could go back but I can't and it's honestly killing me." Ash began to rant and, against his better judgement, glanced up to see Ms Vento's reaction. The moment his eyes locked with hers, his eyes welled up with tears and he hung his head again, sobbing lowly under his breath.

“Hey—” “…Hmm, as I expected— you are the one with the lightest injury.” He said. He’s ignoring me again. “A few cracked ribs will be healed in a couple of days.” He added. “!” Hearing his remark, I quickly run to them. But when I reach Felix, he quickly walks away and switches his target to Asha— pulling a sword out from his magical storage the moment he touches her left hind leg. “G-Grawr…!?” Asha is completely freaked out when he pulls out a transparent-blue sword.
