He pulls off his balaclava, revealing his short brown hair, flecked with grey, which is now flattened at the crown. He gives it a quick ruffle, taming some of the unruly tufts. I stiffen at the word. Blindie. A zero-visibility whiteout so volatile, it would render leaving the outpost an impossibility for hours, if not days. Pokily, her eyes fluttered but her vision was completely befogged. She shook her head, trying to see clearly but it was ineffectual, everything was dim especially without her glasses. She opened her mouth to speak but She realized her mouth was taped sealed, her eyes widened and She tried to move but her body refused to respond, She gazed down with her blurry vision and was able to make out how a rope was tied tightly around her body to a chair. Her eyes popped out, wanting to pull out from their sockets.

Pavel smiled haughtily. “Are we going somewhere?” “Yes.” Pavel said as he blindfolded Sunny once again. “Take my lead.” “Alright….” Sunny answered; allowing Pavel to lead her to the vehicle. After helping Sunny into the car, Pavel dashed to the driver’s seat, started the engine and speedily drove away. They chit-chatted about basic things as Pavel drove into town, stopping at the shopping mall where he took off Sunny’s blindfold and undid her puff; letting her hair fall back down her neck before pairing the look with dark stylish sunglasses which matched her black barebacked dress elegantly. Pavel also slipped on a pair of dark glasses before rushing to open the door for Sunny.

She followed closely behind him and the two disappeared into the forest. "Did you notice?" Weaver asked and Alex nodded. "Her brother is blind. That's probably why she thought it best to talk it out." Alex said and Weaver nodded. "Don't tell the others about the male being blind. It'll provoke some of the others to try and run him off." Alex said and Weaver nodded in understanding. "I'll take a group to start setting up markers upon our new territory." Wever said and Alex nodded wondering how someone who couldn't see had survived this long. He had help from his sister but he didn't seem to rely on her. . . .

Suddenly, a deafening roar split the sky. Several armed police helicopters thundered overhead. Their blinding white searchlights enveloped the highway, lighting up the darkness like it was broad daylight.

Wide-eyed, she looked at the empty bottle and then at Blake in disbelief. “How did you know?” Polly asked. “I’ve been going see the doctor for treatments, but I never showed symptoms, so how did you know?” Polly asked. “Blake can determine diseases just by looking at the person. He cures me this way as well when that bastard….” Claire explained and trailed off, almost stating her most profound regret. “Thank you. I will never forget this. I will follow you forever.” Polly suddenly stated with tears in her eyes. “No need for that. Just do an excellent job helping John Steel in the real estate business,” Blake said with a smile.

Lincoln shouts from the other end of the clearing getting into his Beta stance, whilst Polly’s wolf growled in the deepest anger looking between each of us. We went into the planning to save Polly, now we’re saving ourselves from Polly!

“We all understand.” Relief hit me so hard my knees nearly gave out. Polly slid off the arm of the couch and walked over. She hugged me tight. “Thank you for not saying anything about Paul being my mate,” she whispered. “I’ll go with you when you’re ready… but that doesn’t mean I want him as my mate.
