Desires And Captivity

Desires And Captivity

And then everything went dark. Present Day I’m lying down. Awake, but unwilling to move. I know I can’t stay in one place for long. Today’s refuge is an abandoned, water-damaged house, where the makeshift bed of cardboard and filthy pillows is at least dry. You’d think that a year after the apocalypse, people would have adapted. Nope. They just became worse. Men rule the world now. Most women were taken—by the demons of hell, as the survivors call them. The destroyers of our world.

Ravens of Eternity

Ravens of Eternity

Not only that, but the setting will be post-apocalyptic, where the survivors have varying degrees of psychic powers. Most people will have low-level abilities, such as telepathy and empathy. Some will have incredible powers able to manipulate the physical world with their minds, such as telekinesis and precognition. A handful will be able to literally warp what’s real with a thought (sometimes carelessly). The novel will explore similar themes of power and corruption, but mostly fresh ones regarding reality and perception. Specifically, the differences between natural reality vs manufactured reality, and truth vs disinformation. Kinda like what we’re seeing politically across the globe.

By the title itself, it was already something that would hook anyone immediately. And after reading a few chapters, indeed it was great. I really love reborn books/novels and I am not disappointed one bit at all! Love the Mc by the way.

It's great to read a book that the first scene is in outer space. Eva is calm, strong and you describe the background well enough to make me imagine it figuratively. Nothing to complain here. It's just perfect :)

Reborn Before Apocalypse: Surviving with Superpowers

Reborn Before Apocalypse: Surviving with Superpowers

When I encountered a complete blockage of abandoned vehicles, I would instantly retract the SUV into my space, nimbly climb over the wreckage, and then summon the vehicle again once I was clear, continuing toward an auto mall more than twenty kilometers away. This was the very beginning of the apocalypse. The vast majority of the global population had already turned into zombies. Even more lethal, in the coming one to two months, nearly twenty percent of the remaining survivors would also become infected from bites and scratches. The human population would plummet, dropping to less than a tenth of what it was before the apocalypse. From now on, humanity’s numbers would only continue to dwind

Sacrificed To Her King

Sacrificed To Her King

He takes me into his arms, “Shhh it’s alright. Wanting to see the best in people is not a bad quality Noelle. It just means the world we live in now is wrong in so many ways. Besides, the fight is far from over yet.” He gives me a soft kiss on my forehead, and we go stand at the wall to look at what is going to happen. The darkness slowly clears, and we can see Hades opening up some kind of por-tal. I am assuming he could only open this portal with my powers. As the portal grows big-ger the grounds start to shake. 4 men on horses slowly appear through the portal and I know immediately it is pestilence, war, famine, and death. Hades has brought the apocalypse by opening a portal to the deepes

After the Downfall

After the Downfall

I listened intently to Gage as he tried to acquaint me with everything that he thought I needed to know about this post-apocalyptic world and the group of humans that he’d managed to endure with after the numerous nuclear explosions. At any rate, my eyelids kept drooping shut for longer periods of time as he went on, and it got to the point where I couldn’t pull them back open. I nodded off somewhere in the middle of his monologue, knowing I wouldn’t remember half of what he’d said tomorrow. My dream took on a lifelike quality as I felt hot lips press against the tender spot behind my ear, and I swore I could feel teeth nibbling on my earlobe a second later.

The Compound (The Compound series book1)

The Compound (The Compound series book1)

It was simple science really, the virus changed our DNA and with it eradicated all that was good about the human race, love compassion kindness empathy, all it left behind were our base instincts, the need to feed and the need to spread the infection but it didn't always eradicate the ability to think in those it infected, there were some smart ass bad guys out there with no base emotions to hold them back. As for the re-animation of the dead, well that was a little harder to explain but essentially it turned the dead into zombies, the infected who died would rise again although there was nothing scientific to indicate they were actually alive except that they could walk and talk, somewhat.

Werewolf romance was not really my taste but this one is interesting. Not only did it mention about the most talked about alphas but it tackled the other positions such as those who protect the pack during travel. It's new knowledge for me so I very much like it. Plus, the hunt is surely exciting.

5 stars so doesn’t get shoved to the bottom. Love hunt idea, great details, well written. I got to certain part, that didn’t seem to flow with the story line. I didn’t like that. No mention, until that part, of their wolf. Thats strange. So I stopped reading.

Me vs. My Sister's Plot Armor

Me vs. My Sister's Plot Armor

"Vaccine?" Willa froze. Crack. I swear I heard it—her plot armor snapping clean. Didn't wait. A vine whipped out from me and smacked her across the face, leaving a red welt. Just as I figured. This was an apocalypse story—and Willa only thrived in ruins. End the world's collapse, and all her privilege goes down with it. Still, I didn't take her or Gabriel out. Not yet. The crimes they committed? The people would decide.

Aligned Fantasy

They headed toward Taiga’s apartment in silence, their presence speaking louder than any words could. **** The Kanzaki Estate was a fortress carved in marble and wealth, nestled deep in the city like a hidden lair, later that evening, the estate’s grand hall was alive with tension. Everyone was there, the devils Soldiers were all present, midorin straightened his glasses, murasame sat impatient and fidgety,Kota wore a smile texting who ever, those who belonged to the shadowy undercurrent of the world Maya and Dante lived in. Maya sat comfortably beside Dante, legs crossed, whispering something into his ear that made Dante’s lips twitch. His arm rested lazily on the back of Maya’s chair, finge

It's been long i read a book on third person POV, so it was confusing at first with the switch. but seriously this is a very nice book. and the fact is a male romance. I'm seriously shipping both of them and hopes taiga accept maya and Dante

This story pulls me right into a whirlwind of emotions—love, confusion, and heartache. The tension between Maya, Taiga, and Dante is so raw and real. A beautiful yet painful reminder of how miscommunication and hidden feelings can twist love into something complicated. I’m hooked!

The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

He immediately began to think about the world's fate. The mirror began to project images of what was to come… The whole world was a wasteland, and the sun was blotted out by dark clouds. Sky-high buildings had fallen, and human corpses lay everywhere. Monsters and wild beasts roamed the land, and the surviving humans were scavenging for scraps. The humans had built an underground sanctuary. From below the earth, they observed everything that was happening on the surface.
