But then they got to the motel and she saw for the first time an actual murder. Liv has seen dead bodies before. Her Pops and Gram. Her great uncle George. But they all died natural deaths. Heart attack. Stroke. Cancer. Natural. But seeing a dead young woman with foreign objects sticking from her body is the furthest thing from natural. The amount of blood sprayed on the walls was unnatural. The pools of blood in the floor, the gory mess of the room. None of it was natural. When Liv had seen it, her mind had shut down on her. Her body felt paralized with fear and her mind had gone blank. It was a scary feeling.

Even I felt sick to the stomach seeing the uneven, dark red body on the autopsy table. Officer Wright's face went as white as a sheet. "What monsters! They'd better not let me catch them!" The door slowly opened, and in the cold, sterile air, my lifeless body lay there, devoid of warmth or breath. Thanks to the sun, one of the bodies began showing signs of lividity. The other bodies soon followed suit. In less than three minutes, all 12 bodies had gone into livor mortis. Those with basic medical knowledge knew that corpses would show reddish-purple or dark purple patches of discoloration on their skin. But the lividity shown on all 12 bodies was black. Every discolored patch was as big as a fist. All of the patches looked like floral patterns too, making them seem like blooming black flowers. Somehow, they looked quite eerie and frightening.

"You said that you were getting a divorce, but I didn't dare make any decisions regarding your husband's body. It’s still inside the morgue. Would you like to see him?" Lori choked back a sob. Her voice was unstable. "I'd like to see him." Inside the morgue, the white cloth over my corpse was removed. It was the first time I was looking at my dead self. My body had been preserved very well. I looked just like how I did before I died. The only difference was the many wounds, especially on my stomach, which had a huge hole. It was not hard to imagine the pain I experienced while I was still alive.

After a thorough investigation by the production team, the details of my past were quickly uncovered. They also confirmed with the relevant authorities that I had, in fact, already passed away.
