Taming the Fire Dragon
The trunk is thick, like the foundation of our love and the canopy of the tree is massive, spreading wider than any tree I’ve ever seen in my life.
“The trunk is us, our intertwined lives, and the canopy is my love for you, growing from our bond,” he says, wrapping an arm around me and smiling proudly at his creation.
“It’s beautiful,” I whisper.
“It’s for you,” he says.
I turn, throwing my arms around him and kissing him with every ounce of passion I’m feeling for him, not caring if it’s unqueenlike.
I have no idea how long we kiss, but when we finally break away, there is a ring of fire around our tree, my flames flickering to life because of Yhen’s love for me.
