The call from Diana's deceased mother had been something more sinister than a prank. There was no way that she would play such a thoughtless prank in me. It also could never be Alfredo or Alvida. My parents in-law were not so jobless that they would try to prank call me. I picked up the call and put it on speaker, bracing myself for the very loud screams of "It's a prank!"
