Feel free to swing by—it's a public hearing.] People live for drama. Sure enough, the hearing room was packed. Esther spotted the crowd and stormed over. "Are you insane?! Why would you bring all these people?!" I smirked. "You love a good show—figured I'd bring an audience." Mr. Kane, sensing it was about to explode, bolted outside to call Mr. Lambert.

"So, that's why you walked away from me. It was all Melanie's doing!" He grabbed me, his voice desperate as he tried to clear things up. "It's all lies. Melanie got herself pregnant from fooling around overseas, and she pleaded with me to cover for her. That marriage certificate is a fake. I could never marry anyone else!" Henry locked eyes with me, his voice earnest. "I'll own up to it. I did some stupid things to help an old friend, and Wren gave me a good talking-to. I was wrong to keep you hanging just because you cared about me. I swear, no more screw-ups from now on!"

All hell broke loose would be an understatement to what I just witnessed. There was absolute pandemonium and in the middle of the madness was a frozen Clark, a guilty George and a perplexed Ian. It was like a swarm of buzzing bees had attacked us and stung, particularly Clark, hard. Honestly, that was an inadvertent prank. I didn't expect this kind of mayhem from such a simple statement. It was beyond me how people could go bonkers over three words.

“What? You never said anything.” “There was no need, but I made them regret every word.” “What did you do?” “Do you remember the poisonous spider prank?” “Yes, the perpetrator was never found.” “I did it,” I giggled to myself. “You were always a menace, but that makes me really happy.” He laughed along with me. We heard the main door to the prison clanking, as if it was getting unlocked. We both made sure to pretend as if we didn't know each other. Heavy thuds of footsteps approached us and we both looked up only to see someone I'd love to rip to shreds.

' He nodded his head and shut off the link, Nicki and Jade were finally calming down and Nathan was walking back with someone who looked like he had a few too many deep fried, bacon-wrapped donuts. "You! Are you messing with my employees?!?" The fat man asked me, it honestly took me a minute to respond because I was laughing so hard that it was hard to breathe. Eventually, I calmed down and told him that I had pranked Nathan because he sprayed a can of coke in my face, that took him by surprise, and when my friends said that he did, the fat man told Nathan that he was to serve our table with respect, because it was his last, and I almost felt bad for the guy...keyword almost.

That was when Sunny came up to me, whispering into my ear, "Here comes the prank!" Even as my mind went blank, he pulled out a remote and pressed a button, and everyone's heads jerked around as a recording of Andy's voice boomed. "I feel like I could get sick everytime I see Jane's face! She's actually eating leftovers out of a chute!" "I wouldn't even date her, if I didn't have to get Mandy's favorite crystal shoes with this prank." "Someone like her is fated to be a garbage picker. And she wants to marry me? Dream on!"

Theresa joined in, waving her arms wildly, "There's a crocodile in the water! Move! A couple of heads turned. Some people began to swim towards the shore, then some guys started laughing. One of them, bare-chested and smiling, cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted, "Good prank! What's next? A whale in the trees?" Another joined in, "Put the music back on, babe! You're ruining the vibe!" My fists clenched. "Idiots," I muttered. Just then, Andrew and Regan showed up, both looking shocked.

There is no way I can sleep again because of my excitement. I hear the airhorn go off, and I fall off my bed at the loud noise. Woah, I got pranked by my own prank. I hear Reed let out a grunt and a string of curses. I snicker. I go downstairs and wait. “KIARAAAAAA,” I hear four voices shout my name and a pair of footsteps coming down the stairs. Four pairs of eyes glare at me, there is pin-drop silence, and we all look at each other and start laughing.

By the end of the movie, we were talking like we normally did, discussing the plot and characters, which were both subpar. "So... we're fine?" Melissa asked suddenly, voice pleading and unsure. No one said anything for a while. Anna sat with her hands on her knees, looking at the floor. "Um, well..." I said, coughing to clear my throat. "That was a bit too much for an April Fools prank." I turned to face Melissa, who looked intensely ashamed. "I-I didn't mean for that to happened..." she said defensively. "I was just trying to get you guys back for last year."

Soon, Jonah and Ellen were asked to join them even as they were left confused, and everyone watched as the footage from the cameras were replayed. It was only too obvious that Pearl had started the argument and knocked over Tina’s bucket, while blaming Tina for everything in front of the manager… “Oh, we’re family! It’s all just a prank!” Jonah tried to explain as cold sweat filled his forehead. Ellen nodded repeatedly as well. “That’s right! Mr. Shaw, please forgive Pearl—she didn’t mean it!” Pearl quickly made a miserable face as well. “I really didn’t mean it, Mr. Shaw…”
