He pleaded. “I don’t believe you,” I uttered nonchalantly & then hung up. Then I switched off my phone to get rid of his stubborn ass. Right now, I want nothing but a relaxing bath in the huge bathtub to soothe my exhausted heart, mind & body! + I was reading “Pride & Prejudice” by Jane Austen in the library when Alexander returned. He found me curled on the couch facing the wide glass window with a book in my hand, he came behind me & leaned in so that he could kiss my forehead.

Your sister did not deserve to be judged based on another's mistakes. I hope that this clarifies our conversation from the other day. As I said before, I never meant to hurt you, and for that, I apologize. Yours, William Darcy My hands shook so hard I could barely read the last few sentences of his letter. I looked inside the envelope to see he had included several newspaper articles. One was a picture of Jane at Lux. Everyone else was leaning in, and given the angle of the picture, it looked like she was trying to lean away from Charles.

She wove it carefully into her hair, securing an artful twist that suggested elegance without effort. The final item waited in tissue paper, modest yet precious beyond measure. Her well-worn copy of Pride and Prejudice bore the gentle scars of countless readings, its spine creased from years of seeking comfort in Austen’s wit. She had been clutching this very book the day she first encountered Henry Wynthorne properly, not merely as her parents’ friends’ son, but as a man whose laugh could illuminate an entire room. He had glanced at the cover with genuine curiosity, and she had treasured that moment of shared literary interest ever since. Perhaps tonight, she might finally find the courage

At her feet, there were four books. All written by Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice. Sense and sensibility. Persuasion. Emma. She had another book open in her hands, and when she looked up at me, flashing me a smile that showed off her perfect pearly white teeth, my heart skipped. She was angelic. For a moment, I didn't move. Couldn't. I didn't speak either – just stood there gawking at the beauty of her. She must have thought I was awkward.

She says, returning to fetch the baby from her room. Katie and I spent all day at the nun's rental house. Katie has told me most of the day that I should be proud of what I am doing for them. I told Katie that it wasn't enough. I told her that I wanted to design them a new orphanage, and she thought that was a great idea. Julia came for Bane about an hour ago. I've been reading my favorite book. THE PRIDE AND PREJUDICE BY JANE AUSTEN.

, I was never going to get in a habit of the mojo he does. “Well I went up there to bring this book for you, I know you are doing English major in your university and I also got to know you are a big fan of Jane Austin so I thought to give you a present of Pride and prejudice first ever edition, trust me it is very limited”, fir the first time I could see the spark in Elvin eyes when he giving me the book. “So you were there when it got published”, I asked with so much excitement for the first time both of us were excited, “I’ve had my ways”, he chuckled.

I couldn’t help but scoff at the irony as she held up “Pride and Prejudice” I had yet to read it but had it on my reading list so I understood the concept. Just from the synopsis I remembered reading, could I compare myself and the handsome boy in front of me to Elizabeth Bennet and the wealthy Mr. Darcy? Maybe reading it would be enlightening and since it was already on my reading list at home, I could also check that book off. She brought out stacks of copies and placed them at the start of each row, asking that they be handed back. Owen didn’t even turn around as he raised my copy over his head and just dropped it onto the desk with a loud thud before I could even grab it from his hands.

”Yeah, I’m speechless” I agree. ”What was the name again?” Sebastian asks. ”Pride and Prejudice” Aiden replies. ”This was good, I have to admit. Such strong emotions” I tell him. ”How did you..where did you know this?” Sebastian asks. ”I actually like old romance books, I know this movie was from year 2005 but it’s based on a book by Jane Austen from the year 1813 if I remember correctly” Aiden explains. ”I forgot your minor is English literature” I smile at him.

I picked up my cliché: Pride and Prejudice. The copy I had at home was worn and battered from being read so many times. Its cover was creased and marked from years of use. But this one was different. It was a red hardcover with golden lettering. It looked as though it had never even been opened. Would I be the first? There was something ironic about fate. Me being the first to open this book when I had never even been touched myself. Never been “opened.” I smiled to myself at my ridiculous thought.

My eyes kept finding her- she appeared so fucking invested in what the professor was going on about. "Mr. Hale," Mrs. Middleton's voice snapped me out of my thoughts, and the way I immediately looked up, eyebrow raised in question. "Would you care to summarize Chapter One of Pride and Prejudice for us?" Well, shit. I leaned back in my chair, fully aware of the attention now on me. This wasn't exactly the kind of thing I could fake my way through, but I had a reputation to uphold.
