The Alpha's Princess
Janice and I glanced at her, then back at each other, exchanging a meaningful look that spoke more than words.
“Oh, please. Just look at her. Does she even look like a princess to you?” Janice snapped, her tone laced with irritation, and I couldn’t help but chuckle at her bluntness.
“I mean, sure, I’ve got this strong feeling her wolf might be a Lycan,” Janice added, lowering her voice as if it were some top secret. “But a princess? Never. Not in this lifetime.”
Chloe burst out laughing at that, while I exhaled softly, relief washing over me. At least, for now, she didn’t seem to notice how tense Janice’s reaction had been.
