The door slams shut behind him, leaving the room in a tense, suffocating silence.
Prince turns to me, his chest heaving, anger still burning in his eyes. But then something shifts—his gaze sharpens, realization dawning—and his fury reignites tenfold.
“Delanie?” he hisses, his tone venomous. “That was fucking Delanie?”
I rub my temples, exhaling a long breath. “Yes, Prince, that was Delanie. He’s useless, drunk, and—”
“And you’re fucking entertaining him?” Prince cuts me off, his voice rising. “Do you have any idea what his family’s done to mine? Do you even care?”
