Jake squeezed in beside me, dug his nails into the tape, and ripped it open with a tearing sound.
Rows of water bottles were packed at the bottom, the plastic clear, the water inside bright enough to catch the light.
He pulled one out and turned it over. The manufacture date was printed on the inside of the cap.
"February. This year."
His lips went white. He tore open another box.
"March."
Another.
"April. May. June."
Every single box was branded in the bottom right corner with the same mark.
