Timothy laughed, "Very well then, you've made your choice. But I'll wait on your fiance. Here's your dinner, bitch."
A plate came through the doggy door, and Merida stared at the stir-fry pasta and turkey.
Timothy taunted, "Eat, it's not poisoned, at least not yet."
He laughed again, and Merida heard his footsteps receding.
Merida cried out in agony, rubbing her swelling ankle. She stared at the plate, tears streaming down her face.
