Queen Bathing In Blood Novels & Stories

The Tokyo woman went rigid. The London men stopped breathing. "Lex prima. Caput quartum." The words came up from somewhere I hadn't known they were stored. Rough and broken from the tube and the tight wrap around my ribs. "In praesentia regis omnis vox obmutescent. Qui umbram meam contemnit sanguine solvent." The room went so quiet I could hear my own blood moving. The guards stopped. The rifles went down. Slowly. One at a time. Like they were being lowered by people who had just realized something and needed a moment to finish realizing it.

"Esme, we have to move! The floor is giving way!" He was right. Cracks were spider-webbing ou, glowing with that same haunting purple light. Dominic was still slumped against the pillar, his face twisted into a mask of triumph despite the blood trickling from his mouth. "You can't stop it now," Dominic wheezed, his voice rattling in his chest. "The Queen has claimed her throne. The blood has spoken." "Shut up!" Killian roared. He looked at Thorne, who was standing frozen near the entrance, his eyes wide as he watched the destruction of his father's legacy. "Thorne! Get Lily out of here! Now!"

Annalise and Eria both gasped at the same, he became worried at the look on their face. “ Blood” Eria choked out pointing at the Queen's dress which was now spotting a patch of blood. The king lifted his hand and saw it. His Queen gave him a worry but he acted as if there was nothing wrong. “ Get the royal doctor right now” the king commanded and the servants started running around. The people parted as the king carried his Queen out of the temple, his back still decorated with arrows. His bodyguard and some other soldiers who had just gotten to the temple started arresting the remaining assassins who were still alive and everyone who tried to harm the Queen. Princess Cixi's body was carried

I staggered backward almost falling, thanks to the maids who were quick to hold me in place. “The bath is in the interest of the Prince’s recovery. If you catch rashes it should be an honour for you. Many people will kill and die for the prince to live. His wife you are, so you're taking your bath right now. I’ll bathe you myself.” The queen's lips spread into a thin-lipped smile. ‘Run!’ a whisper echoed in my head. ‘Don't allow her to touch you’ the voice warned but it was too late, as the queen's hands already rested on my shoulders, with an electrifying wave running within me, and it felt as if I lost my sense of reasoning.

On it, a single sentence was written in what looked like dried blood: The Queen who bleeds is the Queen who leads. I wasn't the first Sovereign Thorne had kept here. And I wouldn't be the last to die—unless I found a way to turn this cage into a weapon.

Many of the soldiers surrounded the Queen Mother but they didn't know that she was a force to be reckoned with. Her strength and speed allowed her to move through the battlefield like a whirlwind. With a flick of her wrist, the blood within her enemies’ veins twisted and turned against them. One soldier lunged at her, but before he could even swing his sword, his body seized up, his veins bulging grotesquely as she manipulated his blood. He let out a strangled cry before collapsing into a lifeless heap.

The possessed Layla let out another chilling laugh. “She only defeated your pathetic Evelyn because I allowed her to tap into my power! She is mine! Her will is subservient to mine! She is merely a shell, a puppet on my strings!” “No!” I shouted, dodging another brutal assault, feeling the familiar sting of energy as she clawed at my arm, her touch burning like ice. “She’s not! She’s Layla Bloodwood, Luna Queen of the Bloodwood Pack, and she belongs to no one but herself, and to me!” My heart ached, a deep, crushing sorrow settling over me. I couldn’t keep fighting her. Not like this. This wasn't a battle against an enemy; it was a battle against my own soul. Each block, each parry, felt lik

She scrambled to put her gun back in its holsters, quickly pulling out her set of knives before dodging a blade being swung at her. Mustering great strength, she stabbed the man who had attacked her, successfully embedding her knife into his chest before pulling it out and kicking him away. Noticing a presence behind her. Red crouched to the ground as she turned around, sending one of her knives flying and into the center of a man's chest. The assassin pushed herself up from the pavement, launching herself towards another person, jumping on his shoulders before slashing his neck. The sudden spurt of blood towards Red's cheek told her that she must have hit a vein.

Third, and most importantly, you will not interfere with my personal life or who I choose to see. "I might be willing to sell my body, but I will never sell my life. And I will never, ever sell my freedom." Laughter rippled through the surrounding crowd of wealthy spectators. Everyone thought I had lost my mind spending ten million dollars just to bring home an impossible queen I would have to serve and indulge. Faced with her outrageous demands and blatant audacity, I didn't so much as frown. I walked over to her calmly. Ignoring the heavy scent of blood clinging to her body, I slowly raised my hand and stopped over the left side of her chest.

"It's building something and asking someone to keep it with you. I'm not collecting anything tonight, Zariah. Debts are dead. Your hand is your own. I'm on my knees in front of everyone who ever wanted you gone, asking for the one thing that can't be taken, or bought, or collected." The box opened. The whole ballroom made a sound. "Marry me," I said. "Be my queen because you choose to. Say yes, and say no, and I'll still build you a hundred clinics and stand behind them where I scare the clients. But God help me, woman-" and my voice cracked, once, in front of four hundred people, my voice, cracking "-please say yes." Zariah’s POV
