But in the silence between them, they didn't notice: The mark had already been carved beneath their table. The Queen was coming. And she wasn't alone. Hours Later - Fresh Meadows Marketplace A young merchant held up a scrap of bark with a charred crescent drawn on it. "It was painted over the council's wagon," he whispered. "They say it means the Queen is not alone." In an alley nearby, two omegas passed the symbol between them, carving it gently into the side of a wooden crate. At the city's edge, a group of farmers whispered the name—Umbra. Not just a rogue. A resistance.

Rex said. Once Lacey heard Rex make that statement, she looked over her shoulder, noticed her top was not on properly, quickly spinning so her back was facing Kealy, who knew instantly what her sister meant and adjusted her top to cover her, “It’s nothing, I have a tattoo artist filling the color in, it isn’t done yet.” “Why are you getting a tattoo of a royal flower? Aren’t they the symbol of royalty?” Rex inquired, eyeing her actions suspiciously.

I couldn't imagine going that long without talking to my mate. I decided no matter what would happen ,I would always work things out with him and not let things get to strenuous because I love him very much. My business was blooming so much and was attracting so much money per month . I didn't really work much and left most to my maids but focused on my son. My mate was always suportive no matter what I did . I knew no matter what our family of different species would always strive through it all. It's funny we went against nature and mated together and even had a children. I was indeed a Vampire's Queen.

I am utterly in awe of the beautiful creature in front of me. “Our mate.” Rohan mutters dreamily. “Our queen.” I agree.

"We're really busy right now. We need to get everything in order before it all goes down." "You should be helping," I respond, though my body is still weak. I don’t want to keep her from her duties. She brushes her hair back, revealing the black 'Z' tattoo behind her ear. "Do you know what this is?" she asks. "It isn’t just a 'Z.' It’s Zombie’s way of marking his she-wolves… the ones he owns." "But that doesn’t mean we belong to him, does it?" I question, a sense of defiance rising within me.

Her walls flutter wildly, milking me, locking me in place. And our wolves—fuck, our wolves howl. It’s wild. It’s real. It’s the final seal. She doesn’t bite gently—no. She claims me. Her mark is deep, searing, something that will scar and shine. She brands me right where I wanted, right where anyone who sees me will know I’m hers. Tess Monroe. My mate. My queen. I pant against her throat, my cock still twitching inside her, my body completely spent and completely whole.

Heavy. “What happened?” she asks. No greeting. No pretense. She already understands enough to fear the answer. I walk further into the room, my gaze briefly catching on the fabrics prepared. The colors chosen with care. The intricate patterns meant to celebrate joy. For a wedding. Kiana’s wedding. I look away. “He will help us,” I say. The Queen exhales softly, relief flickering across her face before she can stop it. “Then it is done,” she says. “We can continue preparations. The ceremony will remain unchanged.”

Why would I have a memory that didn't include sight or smell? I’m having these thoughts while lying nude on a hard bench as the queen massages Imperial Imperial oil, the same oil Ona used to heal my wounds, into my skin. It is a tradition in royal weddings that we are anointed with this oil, preparing us for joining in body and soul. Primus will be going through a similar ritual with his siblings. From here we will bake in the early morning sun, allowing its light to kiss us from head to toe, after which they will paint our bodies with runes for health, prosperity, and fertility just before they mark us with our marriage tattoos. Primus and I decided on a simple, traditional symbol, a mount

But there were differences between them. The Alpha King seal had a sun engraved on the forehead of the head of the wolf which means the one who is leading the external affairs and monarch while the Luna Queen seal had a crescent moon engraved on the forehead which means the one who is leading the internal affairs and the mate of the Alpha King.

It appeared to be a tattoo at first glance but when you looked deeper you'd know it was an animal bite. "This is the bite mark. It is called the act of claiming unlike us, humans use rings to signify marriage but since we are allergic to anything sliver, the bite is a sign that proves a mate bond and it ran deeper than you could ever imagine, it binds the soul and heart together, entwining your lives forever except if one of you reject the other which is very unlikely because after mating and completing the bond it harder to reject one's mate" She explained making my eyes go wide. Not sure why I cared but I wanted to know more since I happened to be too curious for my good. "Okay. Jet hasn't
