We go into the garden and I ask him to describe to me how was it to have my daughter. He tells me every detail about it, and then I ask him if he would like to have someone much better. I grab him by his chin and ask him to have a good look at me and tell me if he likes what he sees, even though I know he does, but wouldn't dream about it. I waited until the palace grew quiet, then slipped out of my room wearing only a thin robe. The underground garden was hidden behind an ancient tapestry. I used the keycard Prince Viktor had slipped me earlier and entered. The garden was beautiful and eerie with glowing flowers, moonlight through glass ceilings, and fountains. Prince Viktor waited for me in the shadows. “You came,” he whispered, pulling me close. “Good. The King is dangerous. He’s not the true ruler here. There’s someone above him. But then, watching the same people over and over again gets boring overtime. Diving into the book, I reopen to one of my favorite parts of the lycan battles. It is the chapter where the lycan king was brought to his knees by the queen, and makes she him beg her for his life. He wasn’t expecting her, or that she would even do something like that. It is what makes me like it more. I feel like I relate to the queen well. She has always been undermined and underrated, then she wound her full potential and—

I found it quite amazing the last time that she took me there for a short sightseeing tour. “I think Queen is in her rose garden. She mentioned that she was going to water them,” a maid told me after I asked her where Queen was. I knew it! “Thank you!” I quickly thanked the maid before heading off in the direction of Queen’s rose garden. Just like the maid had mentioned, I succeeded in finding Queen in her rose garden. She had a hat on to shield her face away from the sun and she seemed very busy as she watered her precious rose garden. The various colors of the roses in her garden were truly beautiful. Various shades of pink, red and yellow made her garden look very appealing and colorful.

While she plots to make the Queen pay for her wrong doings, she smiles artificially to the women fawning over her, her smile broadening when she overhears a few of them talking about the Queen’s illicit affair with her servant. The whole garden is buzzing with female laughter and chatter, which suddenly dies down as the Queen makes her entrance.

She looks at me, "You used to visit sometimes, don't you remember?" I shake my head, "If I did, I wouldn't be asking questions." "I was the Queen's maid and Henry's nanny." My jaw drops and that's when the memories come flooding back, the gifts, the trips to the castle and the little brunette boy, which used to chase me around the castle and play hide and look with, it's Henry. "You remember now?" I nod, "Yes." Henry walks into the living room and tells Nana that the car is waiting outside, she kisses his cheek goodbye and gives Henry a hug and leaves. The sudden realization that I'm left with the king hits me, and I am nervous like sweaty palms nervous.

She says with a small giggle. "You will stop second guessing your abilities to lead and you will rule right beside your mate. That is an order." She jokes with a hint of seriousness. I nod and smile up at her. She holds her hand out and a golden staff apears. I immediately bow down and she dubs me Queen of werewolves by tapping the staff on both of my shoulders. "I now dub thee Mackenzie Roseline Lathen as Queen of werewolves and Luna of the royal pack. Do you accept?" She asks and I look up at her.

The queen's garden outside has some plants and flowers. Watching Rook Theia enter Queen Clementine's room, Pawn Moirai, a girl with blonde hair and brown eyes, patted Pawn Clara on the arm and signaled, "Look at Rook Theia going back to the Queen's room again. She spends the whole day in her room," Pawn Moirai whispered in Pawn Clara's ear. Pawn Clara glanced at Rook Theia and gestured for Pawn Moirai to be quiet.
