Novel & Cerita Questions About Magic

"Tell me, Becca, do you believe in magic?" The question caught me completely off guard. My mouth went dry, and I could feel my palms starting to sweat. "I... I don't know what you mean." "It's a simple question," he continued, that unsettling smile still on his face. "Do you believe that there are forces in this world beyond what we can see? Powers that can change reality if wielded by the right—or wrong—person?" I swallowed hard. "I think that's more of a philosophical question than something for English class, sir."

The girl is gorgeous until she sneers at me, her eyes looking me up and down. "Watch where you are going!" She shouts in the most dramatic way possible. "And what are you wearing? If you are a student, you need to wear the color of your house. Aren't you sorted yet?" "Sorted?" I ask. Two other girls are glaring at me from behind the blonde girl, clearly her little minions. They all wear the same blue cheerleading clothes, and blondie got pointy ears—definitely Fae. "At Magic Academy, there are four houses; each one represents an element—as you can see, we all belong in the house of water. It values beauty, but beauty doesn't seem important to you since you're wearing those clothes."

Power flickered around her fingers—dark, unfamiliar, wrong. “Do you think,” she said softly, dangerously, “you’re the only one with magic?”

“Is that so? Elena, what do you know about the types of magic sorcerers use?” “There are originally four sources of magic that result in different practices. Earth magic, Water Magic, Wind Magic, and Spirit Magic. All of them have healing attributes but water magic is the strongest in this aspect and…” Elena frowned. “I haven’t really met many sorcerers, they are not welcome in my father’s county yet, so I am not sure…. but I think water magic and earth magic are more common.”

It was hand written. She went on, flipping the book and stopping to read through some parts of it. It was a book about spells and she found herself laughing at the silliness of the thought that magic was still in existence. Some of the spells in the book made Matilda to shake her head and conclude that the book had been written during the time that witches existed. Some of the recipes in the book had ingredients like a two day old crow's blood, the crushed bark of a cider tree, four leaved clovers, mint leaves that had bloomed in the summer and many other bizarre ingredients.

So, I asked him another question. “Is there no way to break the curse?" A shadow crossed his face, something akin to sorrow. "There might be. But it's a path paved with darkness, a gamble that might claim even more lives." I held my breath, my heart pounding. "Tell me. Please." He looked at me, a fire burning in his eyes. " Witches thrive on magic and where does magic come from?” Well, I had never thought about that. I only threw him a puzzled look and he explained,

“What are you actually doing here? You can’t be here for a social chat. I mean, you’ve got people you actually like in your pack.” “Yeah. Well, it’s been a little tense lately.” “Silas.” I looked up at him, taking a drag of the cigarette. “Get to the damn point. I have a mate who needs me.” Chuckling, I shook my head. “I had a question about magic.” His eyebrow rose, and he turned to me fully, tapping the ash off his cigarette. “Magic? Like Solaris’ magic or…” “Something else.” “I don’t know if I can help you. I’m pretty limited in what I know. Everything I know is through Sol or Lor. So, I’m not sure I’m the one you need to speak to.”

Loop's lecture. "So, when it comes to magic, when compared to religion, the crucial distinction is that magic looks toward people and humanity for answers, while religion seeks it beyond people. Magic sees ingenuity, religion sees deities. A crucial difference," says Mrs. Loop, and the class scribbles that down a little though we listen more with our eyes on her since she can explain content in a way that we remember.

My body tensed up as I inhaled deeply. My nails dug into the leather of Kys as I scratched it unconsciously. “A question before I begin. What is magic?” He said, skimming his eyes across the gathering. “Is it the extraordinary or the little beautiful extras in the ordinary?” His voice was deep, yet soothing in a way that could drain tiredness right off your bones. He strode closer to me. “Is it a tapestry of dreams knitting into our reality? Or is it an alchemy of our emotions? Is it twilight dancing on your skin or the starlight kissing your lips? Poetry, maybe?”

She asks, causing me to squirm in place. “My magic is sexually based.” I tell her softly, avoiding her eyes as she studies me. “So you have to have sex with someone to refill your magic?” Her brows furrow into a frown as she thinks this over. A chuckle moves past my lips. “It does not have to be sex.” I tell her, drawing her attention back to me. “Sex is the best way to fill my magic fully, but…other things can help fill my magic as well.” I turn away from Jamari to hide the embarrassment heating my cheeks.
