In my mind, the thoughts “What would he do to you if you tried to hit in the crotch and run, what if he held you before you did, what if you did and you succeeded but he's too fast so catches up to you. And why In the hell is he asking me this question?” I asked myself as I stared.

The vendor said, “The next two questions are pretty tough. Are you ready? Of course, for fairness, you can discuss the answer with your friends.” Stephen’s friends grew serious. They were curious to see how difficult the next two questions were. The surrounding crowd watching the show quieted down as well. The vendor slowly said, “Here’s the first question. How can you make tears flow backward?” The question stunned many. They looked at each other, doubting their ears. “Is this supposed to be difficult?” “Sir, are you serious? We thought it would be a tricky question.” “Yeah, any kid could answer this question.”

"What are you thinking?" Sophia paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts. "I don’t know exactly. I just feel like there’s more we could be doing—whether it’s expanding the business, getting involved in something new, or even focusing on something completely different. We’ve spent so many years just surviving, but now that we finally have some stability, I want to think bigger. I want to make sure we’re not just coasting through life."

I asked him, hoping he would have a good answer to my question. "Sometimes taking a walk might really be helpful, because you might see things you haven't seen before, and they would make you entertained." He explained, Somehow I felt he might be right. But I still have to ask him further to be sure I was going to do a good thing, and not just waste my precious time. "Something new like what?" I asked him, making him keep quiet immediately. "Why aren't you answering my questions?" I asked him, realizing he was still quiet.

“A lot on your mind?" I blinked, startled. “Oh. I was just… thinking.” “I could see that. Can I ask what it is about?” I hesitated. I could not tell him. Even though he could actually hold some answers to the questions bugging me. If only there was a way I could ask him, without appearing suspicious. Then it hit me... I forced a smile, straightening. “How about we play that game again?” I said. “The one from yesterday. I ask a question, you answer honestly — then it’s your turn.”

You can start there. I nod slowly. “Finally, someone who makes sense.” Me: I’ll try this. Thanks. I exit the forum, then immediately type: ‘Random fun questions to ask a friend about themselves.’ Enter. My screen floods with suggestions, lists of icebreakers, “cute couple” quizzes, whole threads about date ideas, random memes sprinkled in. I scroll. And scroll. And scroll. “Oh. That’s actually a good question. I’ll keep that.” Next scroll. “That’s funny… but if I ask it, will I sound weird?”

He laughed like a housewife sharing the most casual of gossip. "I, of course, just want to urge you to ask her the right questions. Nothing drastic, of course! Maybe ask, how did Gideon Powers suddenly end up dead after his clear life sentence? And how did Delta Natalia end up dead as well in quite a similar fashion? Oh, and do ask who was responsible for a certain cake shop fire that turned literally everyone and everything to ash."
