claimed by my alpha step brother

The bond carried the tremor of a nervous system still learning that quiet was not the interval between disasters but a condition we had earned the right to inhabit. “Then we will get used to the volume of quiet,” I said into his shirt. “One day at a time. One boring dispute at a time. One night at a time where the only thing that wakes us is the moon moving across the floor.” His mouth pressed to my hair. “Stay.” “I’m here.”

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

Taking note of the books for Rose, that I will take along with me when I visit home. I can already hear her laugh when she sees it, feel her small hand tugging me toward the couch back home, insisting it’s time to read. I tuck the book under my arm and grab a seat near the window. The light falls across the page just right. My brain is quieter here, in between shelves, surrounded by words. Quieter, but not silent. It keeps cataloging anyway. The scrape of a chair leg across the floor. The barista’s glance at the clock. The soft shuffle of pages turning three tables away.

the alpha is supposed to be blind, it’s the whole premise of the book, yet the author constantly describes him as “seeing” people’s blood shot eyes, watching people walk away, looking at himself. it’s sloppy, bad writing. i don’t recommend the “sometimes not quite blind alpha”
Sirena Mares
Interesting characters. Interesting werewolf lore. I just hope the author never "cures" the blind alpha as he actually is mostly capable anyway. The FL goes through quite the character development, and that's putting it mildly. The quality of the narration and writing itself is publish-worthy.

Mated to the Night Wolf

Mated to the Night Wolf

•|•|• "A keffer? Do not speak of those curses unless you wished to be cursed yourself." •|•|• [Kayos] Peace and Quiet. The darkness was my home and I reveled in the quietness that accompanied the midnight as I casually flipped through the book I was reading in the dark. Despite having no candle light to see, I was quite able to read the words as clear as if it where day, only looking up when the door suddenly opened.

Well worth the wait! Your 55 chapters are more like 250 chapters of other authors. Your chapters are long, detailed and fully packed with more intrigue. The guard? I’m team Kayos, but it’s so beautiful how tender the guard was with her to let her know he will honor her…but I think there’s more.

This book is so good. I love the writing, the characters, the story and the execution. Perfection at its core but I have a problem, please could you release a chapter at least once a week. It’s not fair because I’m basically hooked on this book and I don’t get regular updates.

SoulBound: Chosen by Darkness

SoulBound: Chosen by Darkness

45 — The Quiet Place Nori couldn't sleep. The safehouse was quiet. The laundromat below had long since settled into silence, the last machines finished with their endless turning. Beside her, Tharien slept with one arm draped across her waist, his breathing slow and even against her shoulder. The bond between them rested warm in her chest. Anchored. Present. Chosen. It should have been enough. Instead she kept hearing Lena's voice. *We're safe here.*

THE DUKE'S FORBIDDEN PROPHECY

THE DUKE'S FORBIDDEN PROPHECY

(Paige’s POV) Darkness still hangs heavy when my eyes open. Quiet wraps around everything. Not a single noise breaks through. Wind slips through narrow gaps, faint as a secret. Water taps far below, slow and unseen. Fire fades in the pit, breaking now and then into small noises. Not quiet like the city ever was. No wheels rolling on cobbles beyond these walls. No voices drifting from crowded halls. No hidden talk beneath every word. Stillness here feels heavy. Like rock waiting without moving.

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

Book 2: The Architecture of Light [The Geometry of Silence] The world did not end with a bang or a whimper; it ended with the most beautiful silence I have ever known. In the old world—the world of the Firm, the Grid, and the endless, artificial ticking of Jinyan’s clockwork heart—silence was a predatory thing. It was the space between heartbeats where a sniper aimed; it was the dead air on a comms line that meant your partner was gone. But here, in our villa perched on the jagged cliffs of the Adriatic, silence is a living, breathing tapestry. It is the sound of the tide pulling at the white pebbles below, the rustle of lemon leaves in the salt-heavy breeze, and, most importantly, the stead

The Quiet End of Us

The Quiet End of Us

Again and again, hope sparked and fizzled, wearing him down until he was almost numb. By the third morning, a woman appeared at the edge of the landfill.

her silence screamed a thousand words

her silence screamed a thousand words

I indeed left the case of my past in Allah's court for he is the justest. After crying my heart out, letting my tears fall in the lake's water I sat with my back against a tree thick enough to hide my tiny figure from the world's eyes. I remembered the time I came across this lake I found something shiny in the water when curiosity got the best of me I took it out of the water since it's not that deep. The only reason I come here is that whenever I need to clear my head out this is the only place that peaceful enough for me to go to. I stayed there for I don't know how long I didn't even realize that the daylight was replaced by a cloak of darkness decorated with fading hues of orange and vi

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Eidolon Ave: The Second Feast

Nodding, she turned and, brushing past him, careful and polite, headed for the door, bone-white book in hand. *** And so it ends . . . the book began. She stopped. Closed her eyes, her hand resting on the page. Listened to the sounds of Eidolon, the life of the building more stealth than surprising. A board creaking. A pipe clanking somewhere distant and buried, the sound soft. The calm hiss of a radiator and the closing of a door down the hall. It was rarely the stomping of a neighbor’s feet or the sharp, heated conversation of a quarreling couple. On Eidolon, it was always the building that spoke. And it was in the quiet behind closed eyes where she could hear it best.

The College Bad Boy's Target

The College Bad Boy's Target

Chapter 149 — Cracks Beneath the Calm Ryder’s POV Quiet has a sound when you live the way I do. It is not silence, not peace, not rest. It is the absence of chaos that sharpens every nerve, that makes my body wait for impact that has not arrived yet. I wake before dawn, same as always, before the light can creep through the blinds, before the city remembers how to breathe. Ollie is still asleep beside me, curled inward, knees tucked up, hands fisted into the fabric of my shirt like he might fall if he lets go.
