Patsy started to say something, frowned, nodded.
Quincy backed the throttle to an idle as they approached. “Dewey, Patsy, you guys take those two.” He inclined his head toward the ghoulish creatures swaying on the lock side. “Newt, you take out the other one.”
“And leave you and Roger on the boat?” Newt said, his thin lips a sneer: Roger was Quincy’s brother-in-arms. “What’s to keep you from leaving us behind?”
Quincy just glared at him. Newt was the first to look down. “Yeah, okay,” he said, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he nodded.
