While you can read this book on its own, I strongly recommend reading Book One first for a clearer understanding of the characters, relationships, history, and events that have already taken place. His eyes lit up when he saw me, then flickered with confusion when he noticed Fabian. "Camryn?" He'd never learned my new name. "I didn't expect..." "We need to talk." I stepped inside before he could refuse. Fabian followed, closing the door behind us. Henry's apartment was filled with expensive furniture. Expensive art. Everything carefully arranged to broadcast wealth without actually meaning anything. "This is about Milicent's records again, isn't it?" Henry crossed his arms. "I already showed you her library. What the fuck do you want now?"

That was the number one rule. ”Yeah, maybe next time.” I grabbed my stuff, already moving towards the exit. The walk to Henry’s place took twelve minutes. He lived in a small house off campus with JJ—two bedrooms, one bathroom and a kitchen that smelled like whatever take out JJ had ordered that week. But JJ had a late shift at the campus bookstore tonight, which meant we had the place to ourselves for at least two hours. I knocked twice. The door opened before my hand dropped back to my side. Henry stood there in dark jeans and a Harlow Hockey shirt, hair still damp from the shower. His eyes met mine for half a second before he stepped aside to let me in.

He lifted me and bolted. Inside our cabin, he sat me on the bed. He sat down and pulled me into his lap. I missed you. Sorry, I couldn’t answer. First, what did you do or find out? I pulled the vial from the bra and the notebook from my pants. Wow, you’re good. We opened the notebook. Henry had many notes—one made my blood run cold. I gasped. What the fuck? Emily, do not say this to anyone, okay? Maybe Salem… he cursed.

Henry said and dropped the heart to the ground next to the girl. “Everyone meet my own little witch, Aurora.” Henry introduced as he removed a white handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his hands. “She’s going to help us to deactivate the spell-“ “No, I’m not! It’s going to kill me!” Aurora yelled from the ground but Henry didn’t seem bothered by her announcement. “That’s not what we agreed on Aurora love,” he did and smiled, “don’t worry she gets shy around strangers.” A loud gasp resounded around the room as he removed his glasses and it took a couple of seconds and his eyes on me to realize that his eyes were on me.

Talia’s POV I went straight to Henry after leaving the dungeon. He was in the storage room behind the kitchen. He was sorting through crates of supplies. When Henry noticed me standing in the doorway, he froze. His eyes widened, and the guilt on his face was immediate. “Princess,” he said. “I did not expect you.” “I need to talk to you,” I said. “Now.” "What...what's wrong, Princess?" Henry stammered. “You know exactly what I am here for," I said as I stepped closer. “Jason used Moonlust. Where did he get it?"

I flinch. "Earth to Cayce. You alive in that little head of yours?" says Henry, "or you want me to go grab your mate and strip him so you have something to look at?" "No! And you don't get to touch Bennet!" I say back. I realize that I'm in Henry's room that used for the night. I must've walked in to help him pack, seeing as how I have one of his t-shirts folded on my lap when I lost concentration. "What's up with you, then?" asks Henry.

Eva instructed the maid in front of her. The maid nodded her head again without offering a response. She had no idea that Eva was planning to give Henry poison sleeping pills later. But Eva didn't say anything to her. Elsewhere in the Crescent Pack housepack, Henry sighed in exasperation. He had just put down the lecture bag and flopped on the bed. "Why does Eva always bother me?" asked Henry, muttering to himself. Henry wanted to close his eyes because he felt today was tiring. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before there was a knock on his bedroom door. Then, after the knock sounded, Henry, who stopped moving, looked at Alpha Ethan, who appeared.

Every time they had that conversation, Henry told him that one day he would meet a woman who would make him fall for her. He sighed. ‘I guess the premonitions of my childhood friend are becoming true.’ He was not sure if it was love, but he did feel something for Magnolia. “I do apologize for barging in on you. I did not think your wife would be here.” Henry said as he placed some documents on the desk. ‘Here we go. He never called her ‘your wife’ before.’ “Henry, I need you to find everything there is to know about Serena Lasen. Also, how the princess knows her enough to invite her to tea.” Daniel fell to his chair.
