What if the rain poured down on my way home? As I started to stroll down to Terry's place the rain started but it wasn't too heavy. After some minutes,it started to get serious. My clothes got soaked,same as my sneakers and my hair. I quickened my pace, breathing in and out sharply. I stared with intensity, not knowing what to say to her. "My favourite time to cry is when it rains, you see. When the tears flow, people are not able to tell since I'm in the rain," she spoke, her voice hoarse from what I presumed to be too much crying. "And the rain comforts me. It doesn't wash the pain away but it assures me that the rainbow will appear afterwards and that the sun will rise again." When I didn't say anything, she added, "But we shouldn't stay in the rain for too long. You wouldn't want to fall sick and die before getting a chance to see the sun, now would you?" She smiled.

I answered. He just nodded at what I said. I thought he was about to finish speaking but in the middle of the traffic he spoke again. "They say there's always a rainbow after the rain," he uttered. My forehead furrowed hearing him saying those words out of nowhere. “But you know what they don’t realize? That the rainbow was there all along. It just chases the rain always, in the end they never had the chance to meet. ” My mind stuttered. It hit me right on my souls. He has a point. There are things in our lives that we cannot see of importance without a good cause or cure. We can’t appreciate things simply alone. We can’t appreciate things as it is.
