“Not a person. Not a wolf, either. It was a turtle.” Caleb’s expression turned incredulous “A turtle? Really?” I nodded, trying to keep my tone calm and reassuring. “Yes, a turtle, a tiny hatchling. We found it on the beach a couple of days ago. It had died, washed up by the tide. I... I just…I saw him perform a simple spell. Borrowed some energy from the earth to bring it back. It wasn’t dangerous, he promised.” I looked up to see the shocked expression on everyone’s face. “He told me that he had practiced it before but it drains him of too much energy.”

As Rorik and Lyra continued on their journey, they came across a group of animals gathered around a small pond. Curious, they approached the group to see what was going on. In the center of the group was an old turtle, his wrinkled skin and wise eyes indicating that he had seen many years. The other animals, including a rabbit, a deer, and a squirrel, were gathered around him, listening intently as he spoke. Rorik and Lyra approached the group, and the old turtle turned to them, his eyes twinkling with wisdom.

“I have a feeling he’s not going to appreciate that type of humor.” The display on his screen showed that the phone was ringing, but there was still no answer. “Oh please, Logan,” Kelda rolled her eyes. “I fought alongside Raph when I was on the side of the Divine. That guy had more affairs with Earth women than you can imagine. He even got a few of them pregnant. It was a massive scandal at the time.” “No way.” Rafe sounded goblinressed. “Raph has halflings?” “Halfling?” Logan questioned.

I knew immediately it was Raphael. "Yes. I made an agreement with Alpha Levi." The hall trembled. Roosevelt asked, "Where did you get your dragon from?" Raphael chuckled. "The same place you got yours from." Roosevelt's voice hardened. "What did you sacrifice to get a dragon that powerful?" Raphael answered calmly, "I didn't sacrifice anything. I simply did what had to be done." He continued, "Unlike you, I didn't need my dragon urgently. I trained him. I watched over his egg. I watched him grow. Glacier is not like Shadow Scale, who was simply handed to you after he matured."
