THE LUNA WHO ROSE FROM THE ASHES

THE LUNA WHO ROSE FROM THE ASHES

"I felt a massive ripple in the local ley lines about an hour ago. I think our granddaughter has figured out how to summon illusory butterflies." Right on cue, the heavy wooden doors of the estate burst open. A blur of bright laughter echoed through the quiet house as two young children, bearing unmistakable golden eyes, sprinted out onto the veranda. "Grandma! Grandpa! Look!" a little girl of no more than seven summers cried out. She cupped her small hands together and blew gently. A dozen shimmering, translucent butterflies of pure golden light erupted from her palms, fluttering around Ryan's head.

THE HABITAT

THE HABITAT

Gloyd carried Alex above, garnering every bits of his strength to use his wings again and two of the guard bees who were stationed in the north boundary of the hive, came to help. Alex and Gloyd was about to go to where Jimmy's group is when Ivan said that they're also been attacked in the west. "We didn't see them. It's dark and they came from above!" Ivan cried. "What creatures are you talking about?" Surely ants evolve into having wings, but since they are short in food. It would take some time given their huge physiques. "Butterflies!" Ivan exclaimed. "It is indeed a coordination. If the butterflies appear, then -- " Alex couldn't finish his sentence when enormous termites appeared insid

A Luna for the Lycan King

Allissa Frustrated curses escaped Ivan’s lips as they pushed through the dense maze of bushes. “Fucking bugs.” “They’re beautiful.” I smiled as we navigated through the maze. Ivan growled as we walked through the tall barrier bushes. Brightly colored flowers grew from the colorful leaves that attracted hundreds of butterflies. The vibrant colors of the foliage were dotted with bright flowers, each one a magnet for the fluttering butterflies. Their wings flapped in a dance of shades and patterns.

To Kill a Butterfly

To Kill a Butterfly

“Do you have sex with the women?” “No, definitely not. With all the diseases people are carrying these days. I don’t play with these women,” “What about the women on your lap” “Those women are for show. They get nothing from me. Don’t worry, beautiful.” “I’m not worrying about anything.” “Then why are you asking so many questions?” “I’m just curious.” “Mhmm, well, curiosity killed the cat.” “And satisfaction brought it back.” “Aaah, quick response, I see.”

Of course I couldn't be bothered if they believed me or not, as long as they didn't harm me. The leader then stepped forward and began speaking: “Everyone knows that the Butterflies Royal Spirit Bloodline is a unique bloodline constitution only carried by the royal family of Royal Spirit Empire. Every child born under the royal family must surely carry this unique trait. In all of the Ancient Reality continent, they're the most revered and feared!” He stopped there, probably unwilling to speak more than that to me. I nodded and took a mental note. “May I know why they're the most revered and feared?” I asked, curiously.

Midnight strays

------------ -------------- Outside . . . ------------ -------------- Jane had no taste for battle. It piled up on her tongue and dripped from her mouth as bile. Yet she found herself suspended from two large trees, looking down at a pack of rat-like beings called . . . she thought Anya had called them caval. Their participation in this was also strange, as they were a race of scavengers. Something powerful had driven them to fight. Sometimes, Jane heard wings and cries from above as the Raptors fought for control of the heavens.

THE GAMMA'S DAUGHTER

THE GAMMA'S DAUGHTER

I stared at their fragile beauty, suspended midair, lighting up the rotting stone walls and crumbling arches. “Wait,” I said suddenly, my brow furrowing. “They look like fireflies.” “They’re not.” Bryan stopped in his tracks and turned back to me. “They’re souls.” I blinked. “What?” “Souls of butterflies,” he said. “Cursed to remain. Do you think butterflies naturally glow like that?” I stared longer. Their wings shimmered, but their bodies held no life—just hollow, glowing husks. My stomach twisted. “That’s… disturbing.”

Alpha Alec's Redemption

Alpha Alec's Redemption

I’m still trying to swallow it down when Aspen’s little voice cuts through, bright and curious. “So…” she drawls from the bed, eyes still glued to her game but her ears wide open, “does that mean Mommy can give me a rainbow and lots of butterflies?” Raven bursts out laughing, the tension cracking like glass. I cover my face with both hands, groaning. “Aspen!” “What?” she says innocently, peeking up at me with a grin far too cheeky for a six-year-old. “If you’re godly, then you can do anything. I want butterflies in my room. Lots of them. Purple ones… And, and a magic rainbow door.”
