The Butterfly Novels & Stories

He was here. The sun was up and in my eyes. The first thing I saw was a sheer curtain attempting to keep the morning light away. The wind blew, sending the curtains up to the ceiling. The few seconds that the window was left bare, I caught a glimpse of the flowers designed by mother nature blooming in bunches and shrubs. They were in a dozen poignant colours, the reds looked like it could bleed. And there were butterflies, two– no three fluttered in my vision. Their wings, quite small but painted like it could only be made for the museum or for Disneyland. The curtain closed and I saw the room more clearly.

The butterfly flapped its wings out of the stamen and, at first as small as a bee, became normal size in the air. "What is this? " Exclaimed Leander. I looked up at the big and small butterflies in the air flying, and could not help but sigh: "So beautiful!" The bunch of flowers turned into butterflies and went away with our loud shouts. Only a blue butterfly flew slowly around me. I reached out my hand tentatively. The blue butterfly landed lightly on my index finger, fluttering its wings as if to say hello to me. Liam looked at it for a long time. He wasn't as surprised as Leander. He just commented, "Boring juggling."

There were only owls and eagles in that forest, flying from tree to tree. A web of spiders ensnared the butterfly as she attempted to fly from her perch atop the enormous, dry tree. Despite her best efforts to free herself, her lovely wings remain stuck in the web. In my attempt to release the butterfly from the spider web, I moved closer to that enormous tree, but the butterfly perished before I could release the trap.

Bees and butterflies danced around them too. "Ethan, why are there more butterflies here than at the flower field?" Adeline asked curiously. And Ethan began to explain, "The environment here is more suitable for butterflies to grow and thrive, and they also prefer the trees that grow here. So, you can also call this place the Butterfly Valley. Did you see those butterflies with long tails? They're Isabella Longwing. And those purply pink ones are Purple Spotted Swallowtail. There are honestly many butterflies around here that I can't name. Aren't they all beautiful?"

It took a moment for the sun to shine through the canopy of butterflies, casting a kaleidoscope of dazzling colors into the air. The delicate creatures fluttered their wings in unison, creating a mesmerizing dance of light and movement. Each wing was adorned with intricate patterns and vibrant hues. As they took flight, the colors mixed and merged, creating a beautiful symphony for the eyes to behold. It was like witnessing a burst of confetti, but more magical. He wanted to be allowed to leave the house because he was typically up to no good at this hour of the day. She started mulling over several concepts that she could incorporate into her design. Her attention was drawn to a butterfly, and she followed it with her gaze as it flew away. She was at a loss to explain why it had chosen the water in the pool rather than a flower to settle on. As a direct consequence of this, both of its wings became drenched, rendering it unable to continue flying.

Of course, with a little card like this: Dear Cara, This is the world’s largest butterfly, whose female wings can span up to 280 mm. They flutter in the air like pixies dancing in the sky.
