Métamorphose

Métamorphose

It was a butterfly. I blinked twice in amusement and slowly reached out, only for it to fly over a potted hydrangea in the corner. I contented myself with watching from afar. It flapped its majestic wings elegantly— black etched with purple dots and an intricate pattern on the sides. Somewhere on the internet, someone pointed out that butterflies cannot actually see their wings. I wonder if it was actually true and what a shame that would be. To be so beautiful and yet so painfully unaware.

Scarred For Life

Scarred For Life

* According to the Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary, butterflies are defined as a nectar-feeding insect with two pairs of large, typically brightly coloured wings that are covered with microscopic scales. The definition was standard across most modern day dictionaries. For Afrah however, butterflies could be defined as the ghostly entities which fluttered within the confines of her stomach whenever she looked up to find Adnan staring at her. During such an occurrence, she would clamp down on her spoon and refuse to stare at him.

Take care of my heart

Take care of my heart

" She asked, placing her hands together. Mitchell's heart warmed at Angela's request, and she embraced the opportunity to tell a story about a butterfly. She took a deep breath and began, her voice gentle and soothing. "Once upon a time, in a magical garden, there lived a beautiful butterfly named Luna. Luna had beautiful wings adorned with shades of blue, purple, and gold. She flew gracefully from flower to flower, spreading joy and beauty wherever she went." "As Luna explored the garden, she encountered a caterpillar named Oliver. Oliver was envious of Luna's colorful wings and longed to fly freely like her. Luna, sensing Oliver's longing, decided to share her wisdom with him." "Luna told

The Creature

The Creature

Of course, with a little card like this: Dear Cara, This is the world’s largest butterfly, whose female wings can span up to 280 mm. They flutter in the air like pixies dancing in the sky. Do they resemble the ones that triggered the butterfly effect in the A****n rainforest? (Haha…just kidding, they only dwell in New Guinea:p) …… So I was quite astonished by this seemingly ordinary gift. I pressed the DV boot button and expected to watch my dad’s new “Amazing species” videos. But the DV storage file was blank.

Raven's Agony of Desire

Raven's Agony of Desire

Thane queries, making me nod, knowing he is right; I’ve only ever seen Vaari feed from Mummo when he has shown great displays of power, to recover. “Like Embry says, Raven is very special, if she drains herself to much, she needs it to recover like we do when we’re injured. Raven and Liliana have more surprises in them yet,” Jonathan answers for me, returning looking like a true Viking God effortlessly dragging a good size reindeer. “You couldn’t find any smaller game?” I question, standing to help him dress the deer as he shrugs, and the others return with water. “I can smell rogues nearby, and from their scent it’s women and children,” Jonathan admits, brushing my hair from my face, making

His Lordship Alexander Kane

Yet, the cave's spaciousness hinted at its potential to harbor hundreds of hidden individuals undetected. "Puh-puh!" A faint noise echoed ahead, indicating a presence. Despite the dim lighting, Alexander remained vigilant, anticipating the unforeseen. As the sound drew nearer, a fragrant aroma permeated the air, followed by the appearance of hand-sized moths. These were Dark Night Devil Butterflies. Alexander was familiar with their deadly capabilities. Its powder could clog the brain and heart blood vessels, causing sudden death. He steeled himself, unleashing his fiery aura to repel the toxic powder they emitted.

I was hooked in reading this book. But why the sudden ending? It doesn’t make any sense. Still have alot of loose endings what happened to black maple master? The jade pendants? This is pure money making stint.

One Bite to Another (English Version)

One Bite to Another (English Version)

Mino immediately smiled and showed me a butterfly with black wings and a blood-red body. While feeling the overwhelming dread, I hurriedly shoved the butterfly away from his palm. "Entrante! Let's go!" I yelled as I swiftly lifted Kypper and we took off running away from the river. No! We need to get out of here as soon as possible. The terror and pounding in my chest have rendered me virtually deafening. "What's going on?" Mino wondered as he ran alongside me. "That butterfly is a Lastreias!" I exclaimed frightened as I grasped Mino's hand to flee faster. "What the hell is that?" he questioned, perplexed, as we abruptly exited the forest.

Falling Stardust

Falling Stardust

With every flap of its wings, a sweet aroma as well as tiny green flower petals fell off its wings. There were six smaller similar looking butterflies flying around the massive one. These were around 50 meters tall, all of different colors, white, red, pink, green, black and light blue. Milton stood to his feet and observed the butterflies with interest, he realised that all six of these, all of different affinities.
