"It will not happen. Trust me, he'll be dealing with the police." Lexie snorted. She pulled away from Kaella's arms and grabbed a tissue from the tissue box. She cleared her throat roughly, feeling relieved afterwards that she could breathe normally again now. "He's a criminal, Drziella. We only know a few people that Rafe managed to kill, the rest, he must have committed more crimes than he shows us. And so far he is still safe from being chased by the police.” “This time we are under a different jurisdiction. Rafe can't bribe law enforcement officers here."

She nodded quickly and dug into her bag with shaky hands. “Hello? 911?” she sniffled as she asked. “I would like to report a crime at Crimson Estates….. An attempted murder. Yes… murder. A man tried to kill me. Yes, I’m currently safe but he’s still here. Held down by my savior. Please come quickly.” When she ended the call, she looked over at me. “They said they are on their way.” I nodded but stayed where I was. I didn’t trust this guy not to try something again. The lights here were not all that bright and from how no security from the estates has approached us, I doubt the cameras hanging up here are working.

Drake’s POV “What is it now?” I snap. “Problem at the oil rig,” the tattooed beast mumbles. “What fucking oil rig? We have hundreds of—” He dangles a bag of white powder before I can finish my sentence. Oh. Oil rig. I sigh, rubbing my temples. “What kind of problem?” “Some managers”—law enforcement— “stumbled on”—busted—“some weird activity”—our illegal drug business— “among the employees”—and arrested our movers.

Our conversation was cut off as soon as the wheels of the car stepped foot on the main road heading to the main city. From the distance, we could see that the streets were filled with thousands of uniformed cops, blocked off and closed to the public. People were being stopped and forced to stand in the open, bright lights shining down on them, illuminating their faces, but casting long shadows behind them on the streets. The police officers were taking no chances. After a series of gruesome murders over the last few hours, the department had declared a state of emergency. They were determined to catch every possible criminal, identifying them as either a human, a werewolf, or one of those wh

At all, actually. The officer nodded. "With him living here, I don't blame you. Not exactly a friendly neighborhood." The officer's real name was Mark Rochester, and he began to piss Rhychard off. It was as if the murder bored the officer. It was just another day in the Bottoms, life with the drug addicts and hookers. His partner, Officer Burke, was busy hanging crime scene tape around Karl's house from the front of the dilapidated structure to the river where Briggs's body remained sprawled over the boulders, his right hand bobbing in the water.

I would too if I were in her shoes. And the thing about murder? It is a good thing I was leaving, I need to be far away from matt and the trouble that he is inviting for himself. The Drenger brothers were a popular werewolf duo. They monopolized the sale of guns and drugs in the inner city; no one dared to touch a member of his criminal pack, not even the police. And now Matt is somehow mixed with them? Matt is more bad news than I thought. I heard receding footsteps and the door opened and was slammed shut almost immediately. I sighed in relief as she started the car and drove towards the gate. One last obstacle to my freedom; the moment we cross those huge gates, I would be saying goodbye

He pretended to play along the lies of Pierce as if he had been unaware of the condition of the city. The city of Crimen had become true to its name and the hub of every single crime mainly due to its geographical position. Since it was the first spot right after entering the kingdom from the south, the Crimen city became the centre of dirty deeds soon after Hawthorne took the control. It was due to his recklessness that the beta Curtis raided and caught the deal of Leita and her mistress’ selling.

"Let's go with that. On one hand, we'd learn about the state of crime in town while turning them to our side. We'd be killing two birds with one stone, and I doubt that can't curb crime." Jada nodded. "Still, it's most likely the work of those out-of-state bigwigs again. Should we make an example of them?" "For sure. We welcome partners, while troublemakers will be in pieces!" "Understood!" Jada nodded again and left. She returned in the afternoon, flexing her muscles while reporting Frank. She had led former Cerulean Summit Legionnaires across town, beating up or hospitalizing over thousands in a matter of few hours, while recruiting hundreds of thugs who knew when to stop.

On the other side! Williams sports car, under the guidance of the police monitoring center, also arrived at Crim City! Along with him were James and a hundred bodyguards! Other than Williams, a few police cars also rushed down the highway. Williams looked behind him to find that midge had already left, before stepping out of the car. One of the police men in charge told Williams that there was no way to regulate the security of Crim City. Because there were high officials above, many cases could not be closed, so Crim City had become a chaotic city.
