The black SUV convoy glided through the wrought-iron gates of a secluded estate on the outskirts of the city, tires crunching softly over gravel. Tall, manicured hedges lined the private road, shielding the property from any eyes that might otherwise have wandered too close. Eve — Viper, some buried part of her mind kept insisting on calling herself now — sat in the back seat, posture straight and composed, the apartment keys safely out of her hands and into Elena and Jake's. The emotional weight of the reunion still sat heavy in her chest, a quiet ache tangled up with relief.

A new flat, a new office, new streets, and new adventures. I knew there would be challenges. The fog of London, the distance from my parents in Hudson Valley, the adjustment to a faster pace. But the fear was gone. I leaned my head against Jovan’s shoulder. He was already closing his eyes, but his grip on my hand never faltered. At thirty-five thousand feet, suspended between what was and what will be, Evelyn Reeve finally found her gravity. It wasn't a place. It was the man beside her. The past was a fading echo, erased by altitude and intent. And the future... the future was as bright as the sun above the clouds.

EVELINE “Gotta go, Tam.” “Where is his place?” Tammy asked, looking up from where she sat on the couch. Eveline paused to put on her jacket, then took up her bag again. “It's out of the city,” Eveline replied. “But I could Uber there apparently.” She had checked just before taking her bath. ‘Vale Villa’ was the name of the place, and it was a ten minute drive. “I still don't understand why he can't just admit your dad at the hospital.”

Evelyn’s voice rose and fell with the action. “OH MY GOD! RHETT!” Evelyn screams, fists clenching the railing as Rhett leans hard into the corner, barely avoiding Carver’s aggressive inside pass. Elsie jumps, clapping, “Yes! That’s what I’m talking about! Keep him off your line, brotha!”

“I’ll call you once I’m off.” I nodded and turned to walk away. “Do you mind if I walk you down? Just until you get a cab,” the guy asked behind me. “If you want to,” I said, not bothering to look back. We walked down the quiet street together. The city felt different at night still and quiet. “I’m Ian,” he said. “I’m Evelyn. But everyone calls me Eve,” I answered flatly. “Nice. You’re new around here?” “Obviously,” I muttered, not wanting to give too much information.

and damn, that blue color reminds her of the Caribbean sea even though she knows that Andres didn't propose to her in the Caribbean. A bright blue Caribbean sea and a very dangerous-looking blue-eyed owner. Hell, Eve didn't want to end up even more miserable in her apartment. So, after tossing the photo in the trash, she decided to take a shower and head to the hospital. At least this morning, she came to a place where she wouldn't make stupid decisions like drinking whiskey or talking to a blue-eyed stranger. "Damn, you ignored me and chose to continue your daydream?!" The woman put both hands on her waist and gave her an annoyed look.

"No. Let's talk like this. When your time is over, then I'll ride you." Eve shook her head and looked away from him. "You devil." Victory. Best he doesn't say it. This lady may yet surprise him. Eve slowly continued to move on top of him, and Elvin managed not to come until her one hour was over. And after that, he rode her to shattering ecstasy.

“Come on, you’re stalling. Pull it up.” Nodding, I double-clicked the first photo and looked at it. Evelyn was standing on her tiptoes against the railing, her arms in the air. The wind was blowing her hair as her eyes were closed and back slightly arched. She was in a beautiful red dress that clung to every curve of her body. It was the evening and the bright lights of Vegas cast a glow around her. I slouched against the couch.

No that can't be right. I feel cold. Freezing even. My entire body is trembling. Then my knees give out. Eveline catches me before I hit the floor. 'Elara!' She exclaims. Her voice sounds distant. I try to hold on to consciousness. I can't. Everything goes black. --- Damien pov. It is late when we return. The rain has become heavier. My horse is exhausted. So am I. Cassian rides beside me. Neither of us speaks. We found nothing.

The car slid down the mountain road and rolled over. "Zion!" Evangeline screamed and her eyes bloodshot. She crazily slammed into those cars, as if she wanted to perish with them. Several cars fell down one after another under her impact. Evangeline slammed on the brakes and the car screeched to a halt. Half of the wheel was already in mid-air. Her face was pale as she looked at the car that was emitting black smoke. She calculated the time it would take for the car to explode and sadly realized that no matter how good her driving skills were, it was impossible for her to save Zion in the first place.
