"Always taking care of me little brother", the pill sent a cool wave of energy coursing through his veins and slowly healing his wounds, "good thing you're an alchemist." Buck rises to his feet and says. "How are the others?" Bill smiles and replies. "Alive!" My voice did not shake. The man tilted his head. He didn't have a face, just a shifting darkness where his features should be. "You can call me the Reader," he said. His voice sounded like paper rubbing together. "I am the one who pays for the ink. I am the one who decides if your story ends here or keeps going." Bryan stepped in front of me, his hand on his pistol. "He’s another code, Hazel. Don’t listen to him." The Reader laughed. It was a dry, thin sound. "A copy thinks he has a choice. How cute."

Realizing what he had done, he sighed, and his shoulders sagged. “Buckley watches documentaries on his laptop. As-“ His eyes went wide as they landed on his mother and her cocked eyebrow as she realized what he started to say. “He doesn’t know how to use headphones and we all get to listen to whatever he has on. Lately it’s been Greek and Roman history.” “At least you are learning something.” Jaxon laughed. “I sympathize.” Ty gave him a small salute. “There’s a guy on shift that listens to audiobooks. Let me correct that. There’s a guy that plays audiobooks for the rest of us.”

Bucky frowned and walked into the office. The desk was still the same, just like before he left. He pulled out the half-read documents and continued reading. It was just that he had only read for nearly ten minutes, and hadn't even turned a single page. Bucky reached out to pull his shirt, and took out the 'brick' phone from his pocket. He also didn't understand why he was holding this discarded phone, a push-button phone from more than ten years ago, a phone that even Mr. Quitman didn't use.

He studies every day.” Adrian and Lionel looked at each other. They said nothing and swiftly got on their horses. They had to return to Medicis Manor. There was something that they needed to verify.

Jackson, who is usually the most sceptical of our group, speaks up. “What do you mean, more researched?” Braydon takes the book Jackson holds up and flicks through the pages. None of us knows how, but he has an inhuman ability to read shit at lightning speed. It’s like he looks at the page and takes it all in as one picture, everything making sense at a glance. At least that’s how he described it. I wait with bated breath for a few minutes as he spends several seconds on each page. Occasionally a hint of a smile turns up the corners of his mouth. At other points his eyes narrow and his lips pucker. At one point he even laughs out loud.

Buck- She is wearing a perfume to make us want her. Bär- I smell it. Buck- Shut it down, Bub. He closes his book and looks at her. She is a werewolf, she knows who he is, they all do. “I’m flying on a private jet. I’m here for a drink and silence. Please move to the other chairs,” he asks her straight forwardly. She nods. “Sorry, Your Highness.” Finally, he can read in peace. And does, until his brother decides to plop next to him.
