She moved her fingers to every book in the shelves but stopped as her eyes were stuck with something. "What?! This book," Kathy exclaimed as she picked one of the books and examined it. "How come it's here? Is Aaron fond of reading fiction and contemporary romance? How come?" Adea flipped it over to look at the spine, which showed the title, Pride and Prejudice. “Oh, no thank you,” Adea said with a kind smile as she handed the book back. “I don’t do much reading. My sister on the other hand-” She made a gesture toward Lyda, who was still flipping through the pages of one of the thickest books Adea had ever seen. “Ah!” the old woman exclaimed. “Fascinated by religious texts, my dear?”

The person with the highest number of books read gets an awesome reward."

She listens with her whole face, eyes wide, lips parted like the words might escape if she doesn’t hold them inside. I pull out a book with colorful illustrations, one I know she’ll like.
