CEO's Only Wife

"Yes. This list must be extremely specific. It must not be too general, or your superiors will be confused by your wishes and send nothing. She said if you recite the spell, man. correct will appear." Anna's blue eyes lit up. "Show me the book." Nothing makes you feel better than having another single woman also looking for a man. Carina threw down the cloth-bound pamphlet, feeling a little less silly than before. "Hmmm. Show me your list." She waved at the bucket. "Burn it."

Leading the way into the living room, she added, "And there's a couple of new radio shows that debuted last month. Nothing that stands out though. I think you're right. I miss Alias Jimmy Valentine too." "Oh! Not there, please, Lily! Those have to go back to the library." With an annoyed flick of a brow, Lily lifted her coffee mug to give Evelyn time to move the books aside. "The Roman Revolution. Diplomacy," she commented drily, tilting her head to one side, reading the titles along the book spines. "The Empire of the Steppes. The Wimsey Papers. Why can't you just read Agatha Christie like everyone else?"

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

The Billionaire Series Book #1: The Italian Belle

He lifted the book to continue reading and I picked up on the title. "The Odyssey!" "Yes it is. I'm trying to finish it. I actually come out here where it's peaceful to read." The fisherman comes out to the sea to read! Doesn't he have a library at home or does he miss the sea? I took the cue and kept quiet. I took out that infamous list that Helena made and slowly started checking out the boxes. He checks out 90% but about 10% he hasn't made. Tired of constantly doing this, I went ahead and crossed the rest. He glanced at the list and curiosity sparked in his eyes but he didn't ask. He only laughed and kept reading. He must think I'm insane. This project is done. I have found him. It's the

OFF LIMITS

OFF LIMITS

CHAPTER TWENTY SIX POV: Zara Marcus made a list. An actual physical list. On a piece of paper. In his handwriting which was large and slightly chaotic and completely earnest. He put it on the kitchen table Sunday morning between the coffee and the toast like it was a legal document requiring signatures. Zara picked it up. Read it. Put it back down. “Marcus,” she said. “Don’t,” he said. “Read it properly.” She picked it up again.

He's been staring at the ceiling for some time while Hazel compiled the materials he needed to work on. "One page is easy, with the right book you won't be able to stop ranting about it for pages and pages ... here ... the list of books you can choose from," she handed him a piece of paper with a dozen titles of recommended books for the review. Marlon glanced at it, took the paper, and shoved it in his jeans pocket. He didn't seem to have a care in the world. "Can you give me a link where I can just copy and paste it on paper?"

They Read My Mind

They Read My Mind

Sure, I might've been silently roasting them in my head, but I swear my lips never moved. "You said I was—beep, beep, beep, beep—" Alicia stammered, visibly flustered. I gave her a perplexed look. "What's wrong with your language settings? Did your system crash?" Harvey jumped in, continuing where she left off. "You just said—beep, beep, beep, beep, beep—" 'Oh, great. Does the Stone Family have some kind of contagious disease? Should I make a run for it before it's too late?'

one side of his lip twitched upwards in a grin. Annie smiled, her whole body feeling fuzzy because she never pictured herself sitting in a booth, drinking smoothies with Leo Smith. Hearing him say he's going to make her watch those movies meant that he must want to hang out with her again, which was a new and odd but still happy feeling for Annie. "Okay, what about music?" Leo asked, leaning forward. "What do you listen to?" Annie puckered out her lips in thought, Leo smiling at the cute sight. "Anything... chill. Khalid, Post Malone, Billie, Roy Woods." She looked at him worriedly, continuously getting anxious with the thought that he might find her weird.

After Everything

After Everything

I open Spotify hit shuffle on my coffeehouse playlist for some lofi morning tunes and sit down at my desk. Being Monday and all. I check my emails. Update my daily to-do list on notion. Check my g****e calendar. Set my intentions for the week. Add the bash to my calendar as Josie asked. And finish planning the week out. When I’m finally done, I crawl back over to my bed. Picking up my iPad and begin reading my latest obsession. Romance novels. I mean my love life, is none existent. May as well live through the characters in the books.

The Eye That Listened

The Eye That Listened

"Ginny, why did you say that Ms. Honey's class is pointless? You even called her husband and child a troll! Show some respect!" Before I could say anything, the entire class told Ms. Honey how Snowie could hear my thoughts. Ms. Honey's gaze darkened. "Ginny, how could you say that about me?" I calmly said, "Ms. Honey, you're an educated person. Do you think there is such a thing as hearing someone else's thoughts?" Ms. Honey said icily, "Why don't we do an experiment?" She flipped to a random page and got me to write down the first sentence.
