By the time I am finished with my shower, my mom enters my bathroom, knocking on the wall beside the shower to grab my attention.
“Moonbeam, are you about done? I want to style your hair and apply makeup for you. I have ideas to match Draven’s gifts.” She trills in her singsong voice from behind the frosted glass door, using the nickname I was given since birth.
“Just about done. I’m rinsing my hair.” I tell her and she hums her response, leaving the bathroom to wait for me in my room. I quickly finish my shower, step out onto the fur rug, grab my towel and dry my body off. Then I apply moisturizing lotion to my skin, pull on my white bra and underwear, toss my robe on after, and exit my bat
