Dying Was Easier Than Loving Him

Dying Was Easier Than Loving Him

“The nightmares, the blackouts, the sudden spikes in blood pressure... it is your body trying to process latent power instead of shutting down.” I sat in silence as the weight of his words crashed over me. For three long weeks, I had carried the terrifying certainty that my life was ending in ninety days. I had planned my divorce, my petty spite and my quiet exit based on that finality. Now, the wall I had built around my fate crumbled into dust. “I do not know how to be a shifter,” I whispered, looking down at my trembling hands. “I do not even know how to be a normal person without a clock ticking in my skull.”

Shifter King

Shifter King

Not to mention, Boot was my friend. King holds up a black T-shirt and I nod. We don't bother with a bra. If I do happen to shift at the funeral, it will be in the way. "You with me?" King asks. "I don't think I can do this," I say honestly, sitting down on the bed and leaning my head forward into King's stomach. His hand goes into my hair and he gently runs his fingers through the tangles. I couldn't have made it this far without him. He's barely left my side in two days. When he needs to shower or take care of Shadow Warrior things, I become agitated and shift. And then Axel provides another shot, and I pass out quickly. Not a good cycle and I shouldn't be this needy. It doesn't matter that

The Lycan's Contract Bride

The Lycan's Contract Bride

But the shifter flinched away from her intensity. "Too much," it gasped. "Too... bright..." *Nexus will moderate,* the consciousness soothed, creating buffer between Lyra's power and the damaged being. Light dimmed to comfortable glow, divine template filtered to manageable levels. The shifter slowly stabilized, its form settling into something vaguely humanoid. "Thank you... thought I would scatter forever..." "What happened to you?" Dimitri asked gently. "Reality died," the shifter whispered, and everyone froze. "My timeline... collapsed. Only few escaped. Scattered across dimensions. Looking for... sanctuary..."

Freakn' Shifters

Freakn' Shifters

She plastered her mouth to his and took him by surprise. "You know," she panted between sucks and licks of his lower lip, "I'm beginning to think you're hiding something about your family life, the way you're distracting me. Are you aliens, and I don't mean the illegal immigrant kind, but the from-the-outer-galaxy, flying saucer kind?" "There is nothing odd about my family. And we are not aliens. We're jaguar shape-shifters."

A Bear's World

A Bear's World

I hadn't even finished a whole row yet. Some stuff is repeated but this book is by far my favorite. It's solely about bear shifters. Bear shifters are the most loyal type of shifter. They would lay down their lives for the ones they are to protect without a single thought. Thats terrifying. I don't want Dom to die because I might. Even though he would probably fight me on it.

Shift Happens

Shift Happens

I manage. She plants herself on the bed and starts taking off her heels. “Already told you, Sarah. You're gonna have to leave town. Lay low for a bit. Maybe get a fake ID and start a new life as a goat farmer in Bolivia or something. Better still, come with me, and let's go work at the strip club together. They offer free accommodation. Maybe not entirely free, but really cheap. You can hide there for a while. Change your hair, your weight, your DNA, whatever. And, hey, you can even pick a new name. Something like 'Chastity,' or 'Innocence,' or 'Virginal Sarah.'"

The Delta's Daughter - Book 1

The Delta's Daughter - Book 1

I dreamt of Kellen and Mike, sitting in the royal garden at our favorite fountain as the three of us lay three gazing at the stars. I dreamt of the library, the flickering pages, and glowing words. The dream was different, in slow motion as the same page floated down around me, one phrase highlighted amongst the others: She will rise above the kings and take her place as queen of alphas. The Queen of all shifters.

I really enjoyed this series. Many books on this platform have similar stories, which gets boring really fast. This book series kept me entertained the whole time. It had the perfect balance of romance and action. I enjoyed getting to know each character in more detail as each book was added.

Found (Book #8 in the Vampire Journals)

But he wasn’t. After moments of thick silence, Caitlin couldn’t take it anymore. She had to know. “Is it real?” she asked, cutting right to the chase. After a long silence, Aiden finally turned. And slowly, he nodded. Caitlin couldn’t comprehend what was happening. He was confirming her reality. This book. It was real. Everything was real. “But how is that possible?” Caitlin asked, her voice rising. “It talks about the most fantastical things. Vampires. Mythical swords. Shields. Antidotes. It’s thousands of years old—and it’s all in my handwriting. None of it makes any sense.”
