Really Sad Books Novels & Stories

Once. Mr. Kim and I discussed the details of my upcoming book. He said it was on the process of being printed and that I should need to check the first printed copy to check the contents before proceeding to print the rest. He also told me about the numbers of pre-orders and I was contented. This book was written at my darkest days and it had to encompass all the sad emotions. I was the saddest when I wrote the book. It’s tragic. Just like us. Sad. Ugly. Tragic love affair.

And the job of the author is to make you live that story. So, tell me, are these happy tears or sad tears?” She gave a sad sniffle as he gently pried the book away from her. “Sad. They were just getting a good point in their marriage, their kids were moving out, they’re falling in love again… and she just died in a car crash.”

I hate reading those kind of books. I prefer books like Eleanor and Park, Holding up the Universe, A very large expanse of sea. Generally, light novels that'd just make me smile. A sun is also a star, books with breathtaking ending that'd make you feel things." She concluded, leaning back in her seat and I found myself leaning forward, hands on the desk separating us. I wondered fleetingly what it'd feel like to share her views. The books she hated were books I'd consider brutally honest and the books she liked

I don't need a sad book to make me feel worse than it is but once I've started I kept on flipping the next page. Who the hell wrote this book!? The Jamie I know doesn't read books and her giving me books is new, so I was a little curious and read it last night only to stay up the whole night blowing my nose from the sadness and the heartbroken words of the main character. I took out my favorite book, The Notebook, from my bag and placed it on the desk. I can't count the number of times I had read the book. It has so much behind it, love, pain, sorrow, loss and grief. I cried the first time I read the book. I also cried the first time I watched the movie.

Chapter 5 - Sean. Sean O'Connell. ~~ The fault in our stars. I sniffed into another tissue as I ended the book. Why didn't anyone tell me it was so sad? I knew it was sad but this sad... gah! Thank God I didn't see the movie, they would have thrown me out for crying and wailing like a baby. I don't like sad books or movies, probably that's why I have never seen or read 'A walk to remember'. But despite the end the book was overall splendid even if it bought a bucket full of tears to my eyes. I looked at the small heap of wet tissues and grimaced, so maybe I am an extremely emotional female but the book was also equally sad. How I hate sad endings!

And I certainly won’t want that not until I read enough books to get rid of my sorrows. “ How could she do this to me?” I squat in front of the book, tore into two parts. It is as though my heart…life was torn into two parts. I picked it up, as it was soaking with my tears. “ What is wrong with Sage lately?” she was gradually behaving like Lisa, heartless, manipulator.. best at being the victim. Wiping my tears, I tried to fix my book myself, but one thing I am sure of it would never remain as it was.
