The Curse of the Seasons

The Curse of the Seasons

a gritty voice spoke as a man about Jay's age stepped into the room, dressed from head to toe in leather and a pistol tucked into his pants. “What do you want?” I shot out, instantly regretting my words as a dark scowl transformed his face - but it was too late to call back the words. “I want your father,” he said through gritted teeth, pulling the firearm out and pointing it toward me nonchalantly. It made no sense. “Who are you?” I asked, my confusion evident. I thought the military were after me, not Jay. “They call me Bandit. I'm the leader of the Rebels. And your father owes me.”

Shadows of a Journalist

Shadows of a Journalist

His scarred face was a mask of barely contained fury and cold calculation. “Tell me again what you’ve learned,” Jeremy commanded, voice sharp as a blade. One of the lieutenants, a wolf with deep-set eyes and a permanent scowl named Kaelen, approached cautiously. “The rebels grow bolder, Alpha. Their camps gather strength, and their alliances deepen. They prepare to strike soon. But we have plans to meet them.” Jeremy’s dark eyes gleamed as he leaned forward, the flickering firelight catching the cruel curve of his mouth.

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

PATIENT ZERO -The lone survivor

"The incline is leveling out. We're hitting the surface access grates." Behind them, the groans of the injured Actives filled the tunnel. Jabari was leaning heavily on a pair of makeshift wooden crutches, his shattered right knee wrapped tightly in Eliana’s sterile bandages. The jagged shards of his broken obsidian armor clicked against the stone floor with every agonizing step. Musa walked beside him, his severely burned hands bound in thick gauze, his usual swagger entirely erased by the brutal encounter with the liquid-metal god. "I can't believe we're running," Jabari muttered, his grey face tight with shame and pain. "We had the mountain. We had a home."

Echoes of Requiem

Echoes of Requiem

Eva’s breath caught in her throat, her body tensed, ready for whatever came next. A group of armed rebels rounded the corner, their faces obscured by masks. They were armed with blasters, their movements swift and coordinated. Ryder motioned for Eva to stay silent, his hand gripping the hilt of his blade. The rebels passed by, unaware of their presence in the shadows. Eva let out a quiet breath, relieved but still on edge.

But I can take a few punches before dissolving the entire plan Malin and I have constructed. "No...Listen to me, you don't want to hurt me," I warn them, trying to shuffle back, but it's hard when I'm losing balance with every movement. "You're the daughter of that Noble, aren't you?" the Rebel exclaims, getting back to his feet. I can hear the grin in his voice, mingling with the pure, uncompromising hatred. "I'm going to take so much pleasure in killing you." "Kill? Since when do you kill?" I snap, glaring up at him.

The Ace at the Apex

If it meant she could see this oh-so-utopian society he somehow thought would be impressive to her, then sure, she would stay. The Pack's Rebels

“What the f-k did you wake me up so early to say?” “We sent an extraction team to your warehouse hideout, Ms Carter,” Phillip Salem said calmly. “As you knew that we would. They have not returned. Your allies at the warehouse are now considered hostile and dangerous, and as such we will be sending a larger force for the purpose of suppressing the rebels at that location.” Aislen saw Connery move, out of the corner of her eye, the rogue alpha adjusting his weight on his feet, and his eyes glowing with his wolf, preparing to fight.
