Reborn Phoenix Rises From The Ashes Novels & Stories

My eyes snapped open. My breathing was uneven, chest rising and falling rapidly. This wasn’t a dream. This was a past life. My hands trembled as I stared at the pendant again. I had died. And I was here again. Reborn. In the same world. With the same people. With Aurelia still alive. A slow, dangerous smile curved my lips. “So that’s how it is,” I muttered. Fate gave me another chance. Not to repeat mistakes. Not to watch from the sidelines.

All our eyes went to Odeus’s ashes as they lit up in a light blue hue followed by flame like sparks before his body reappeared from the ashes and just like a Phoenix he rose . We all just looked around at each other in disbelief as we tried to make sense of exactly what had just happened. Asmodeus made the ground open up and exorcized Hades out of Odeus’s body while on the other hand Odeus’s burnt up and reemerged ,reborn from his ashes like a Phoenix. It was almost as If nothing happened as Asmodeus slowly turned around and looked at me in his human form and nonchalantly approached me .

“But next time, we’ll be ready.” And far off, in the east, a new constellation flickered into life—a phoenix rising from flame. It was a sign. The fire had not consumed them. Not yet. But the ashes would soon give birth to a war, unlike anything the packs had ever known.

He asked, gesturing to the notes in my hand. “There are a few, but I am not sure if they are what you are thinking of.” I opened the notebook and placed it on the desk so he could see. “So I thought maybe we could theme it around the mythological creature the Phoenix. They symbolize rebirth and new beginnings. When the Phoenix dies it catches fire and then is reborn from its own ashes. I think that perfectly symbolizes the changes the pack has gone through. Well either that or the butterfly.” I laughed. He thought for a minute, his eyebrows furrowing while deep in thought. The realization struck Alaric like lightning and his sorrow instantly flipped to fury. He stormed up and landed a solid punch across Talon’s grinning face, sending him flying.

I know this little dragon doesn’t have to die, not when the power of the Phoenix is resurrection. I watch as the earth dragon pulls heat from the center of the earth, burning his son’s body and then the air dragon lifts his ashes into the sky. Emmi sits back in her mind and watches while I collect Iniko’s ashes from the sky pulling them to the area where my fire burned. The area that is now hot enough to hatch dragon eggs. While the others grieve, I take his ashes and pull them into the glass that was created by my fire. I seal his ashes and his essence into the shape of an egg. Then, I watch as the ashes begin to regrow and reform, coming to life again.

“How is this possible. You—you were stabbed! You burned—your body—!” Solara frowned, looking down at herself. “I did?” She paused. I turned on Lily, rage and confusion crashing together inside me. “Explain. Now.” Lily finally exhaled, tension leaving her shoulders. She wiped ash from her sleeve. “Solara is a Phoenix.” The words didn’t make sense. “What?” “She’s immortal,” Lily continued calmly. “Or close enough. When a Phoenix dies, their body combusts, burns completely, and is reborn from the ashes.”
