During the conversation, I notice Ezra sliding the carrots to one side of his plate, his nose scrunched in distaste. “You don’t like carrots?” Elijah asks, staring at Ezra's plate. Ezra shakes his head. “They taste very bleugh!” He sticks his tongue out, and Elijah hums. “I see. It's totally okay to not like something after you have tasted it. But…” Elijah says, and Ezra looks up at him. “You shouldn’t waste food like that. Some people don’t have the luxury of a proper meal like you do. Recycling is much better than wasting.”

He followed the line of the chopsticks and found himself looking into a pair of bright, incomparably clear black eyes. Seeing him look over, Reece squinted and smiled, his eyes curving into crescents. “Papa, try the egg I made earlier! It’s delicious!” The child nodded vigorously as he spoke, as if that would make his words more convincing. Dave picked up the piece of egg with his chopsticks and threw it into the trash can beside his feet. A flicker of grievance crossed Reece’s eyes. He bit his lip and said softly, “Dad, that’s wasting food. The teacher said that’s not right.”

I chuckled, Ellie simply shook her head as a response, “Alright, let's go.” We went to a small business eatery and I sat on the available table. Ellie ordered the food for both of us before sitting down in front of me. “This place is great, actually. Home cooked meals! Plus it's morning so everything is freshly cooked.” She uttered to me enthusiastically “Do you miss home sometime?” I asked I thought for a bit, “Well, yeah… sometimes… but thinking how intoxicating they are, I think it's best for me not to go back.”

A horrified gasp filled the night air and then Alexei, who was dressed in black warrior attire, made his sumptuous entrance to the dining room and struck almost all the guests, awakening everyone's awareness and own opinion. “I am here to inform you all that earlier this afternoon, I accepted Alexei Volkov’s reclamation willingly. She had some gravy at the front of her apron and what seemed to be flour by the side of her cheek and a few stray strands of hair slipping out of her secure bun. "I was feeling a bit restless and hungry, cooking always helped calm my mind." She revealed and my brows furrowed. "Whenever I have a lot on my mind I like to cook," I recalled Elara's words. "Alpha?" Scarlett's voice broke into my thoughts and I stared at her. Why did everything about her remind me of Elara? "Do you want some? I certainly made more than I could eat." She continued and before I could even answer she set out two plates on the counter and dished out the food.

Even though she didn't eat it, his mom used her fork to poke at the cheesecake. As Edvin reclaimed the fork from her grasp, he yelled out, "Mom, stop." He gently touched Reachel's large, red lips with a crumbled piece of cheesecake. With a smile, she bid them farewell. After finishing the first piece, he proceeded to devour his mother's entire dessert. Reachel was both amused and embarrassed by how ridiculous she felt. Edvin was incredibly caring, and she couldn't help but feel fortunate to have him by her side. Reachel had faith that her kid would be there for her, no matter how dependable other people were. Her affection for Edvin became deeper after she learned that.

I didn't turn to check but I was sure she was dragging him by the arm. I went to pick up my phone from the chair and I walked towards the dining table to see Agar seated, I smirked and sat next to him. "I thought you weren't hungry" I teased repeating how words. "Apparently your mom doesn't take no for an answer" he said and I chuckled. "Isabella burnt the first batch but this should be enough" my mom said plating potatoes for us. "I can do it" Agar said standing up. I should have saved him and told him that they never collect spoons from my mother when she was serving food but I remained silent.

“Road’s underwater. Current’s already nasty. If it doesn’t let up, we’re not movin’ anywhere for a couple days. Maybe more.” Aria’s lips parted. “Shit.” He cocked a brow at her. “Don’t worry your sweet little head, princess. We’re not about to starve.” “I’m not worried,” she said quickly—too quickly. “Just thinking about supplies.” Kade pushed off the counter and opened the pantry, glancing through. “We’ve got coffee, pasta, rice, canned beans, soup, oatmeal, jerky, peanut butter. And I just stocked the fridge yesterday—eggs, veggies, meat, milk, wine. We’re solid.”

I will not let anybody hurt her. Daisy and Edward rush over. "What did the doctor say?" Daisy asks. "She has regained consciousness," I reply. "Oh…" She sighs loudly, relieved. "That’s good. She will be soon moved to the ward, and we can meet her." Edward grins. I nod, smiling. "Okay, we should go eat first," Edward suggests. I didn’t turn him down. I haven’t eaten properly in these two days, and my stomach is growling. We went to a nearby restaurant to eat.
