Red Gem Novels & Stories

Its hue shifted with the play of light, from the deep azure of a tranquil sea to the ethereal shimmer of a twilight sky, evoking a sense of wonder and enchantment. Venya marveled at the locket's exquisite craftsmanship, her fingers tracing the smooth contours of the golden frame that cradled the mesmerizing gem. The diamond's unique color and rarity added an aura of mystique to the already precious heirloom, making it a symbol of not just beauty but also rarity and uniqueness.

What is he searching for? Bob quivered as Kadeem held him high in the air. "Okay! Okay," Bob trembled. "Just put me down - please." Kadeem obliged and threw him back into the chair. Bob exhaled. "It's a ruby," he said. "Probably set in a necklace or ring. It... it has five tiny runes carved into it." Riley fixed her arms across her chest radiating the skepticism Kadeem felt. "A gemstone," she asked, voice dripping with disdain. "What makes that so special?"

It was obvious that the pup being chained down was her wolf, but what was the gem? And why was it making her weak? Is it the item being used to weaken her? "Do you remember what the gem is like? The shape and colour?" he questioned curiously as he stood up from the bed. "I've never seen the actual gem. Every time it appears, it always glows a bright red, so I've never seen its appearance," she replied. "Alright, let me know when you notice anything else in your dream. If possible, pay attention to the details of the dream; that way we should be able to figure out what is wrong with your wolf. I believe she is trying to communicate with you through dreams," Mergec explained.

My hands trembled just slightly as I held it. He crouched to scan the shelves. “Here.” The box was there, tucked neatly among others, marked with a familiar supplier label: GemEssence Suppliers — Fragile: Precious Stones. Ryan and I exchanged a look before he pulled out his multitool and slit the tape open. Inside, layer after layer of packing foam. Then, glittering in plastic cases, the gems. Blood-red rubies, green as forest glass emeralds, and deep, dreamlike blue sapphires. Each stone perfect, untouched.

My feet pause. “What's wrong?” His forehead scrunches up. “I didn't tell you something…” “Tell me then.” “The Red Ruby is with me.” My lips whisper. “What? Since when?” “Fera gave it to me. The emerald bracelet she was wearing was the Red Ruby all along.” “What are you planning to do now?” “The Red Ruby is powerful. I can't give it to anyone just like that. On the Blood Moon night, I will lure Raven Aylestone. The cursed ones would go crazy that night. For the Red Ruby, he will reveal himself.”

I smiled, showing my teeth. « I wanted to ask you for a while now, what is that red a gem that you have on your neck ? » « Oooh, this. I got this from my mother; she said that I must always keep this on me. This is the only thing that reminds me of my mother. Sometimes it glows, strange right. I thought that this was a magical gem, but the expert said that it’s completely ordinary, it didn’t show any sign of having mana. »

I’m about to use Emerald’s eyes again when a vision overwhelms me. ** I see Alpha Everly’s eyes glow menacingly. They are now a glowing iridescent white, incredibly spooky. Light swirls around her as she brings vines up from the ground. There are creatures with red eyes surrounding her, pressed to kill. The creatures are pitch black, twisted and evil. While they fear her light, they are charged with one motivation: snuff out the light. She can’t do this alone. She needs help. I see a pair of hazel eyes before me. They close with finality. I see the same vision, but with a pair of bright blue eyes. There is a feeling of sorrow that washes over me.

The curiosity in me awakens because of the way Ayla uttered those words. "Long ago, when this world was still young, there were actually five wolf packs and each Alpha possessed a single Eblum. An Eblum is a magical stone that is said to be the source of strength and power for each wolf pack. These stones were gifts from the Moon Goddess. Each of the Alpha built his territory. Each of them has its success. But among the five wolf packs, only one is different.

The seller said it's a set with necklace. A ring of the same material with the same precious stone. In his eye colour. The heart-shaped ring tightly gripped the ruby in the center, then locked it with a sprinkling of tiny diamond around it. At first, Kay was confused which one to choose. He stood behind the shop's glass window until it was almost closing time. Kay knew he had to buy it right then and there. He couldn't pick and choose, so Kay ended up buying both. Kay remembered, Thea had something she adored.

"And you're still going to wear the ring. It's a must, Sweetness." The ring inside the box is absurd! The diamond is a purplish red colour. I never saw this colour of rock before. It's not as red as ruby, it's different and very exquisite. It's huge too, the band is full with the small clear diamonds. The box read "Mrs. Remington" "Oh my God," I gasp. Gabriel takes my hand and slips the ring on me. I thought it would look super absurd. But when I raise my hand, the ring looks perfect on my finger, like it belongs there. I swallow, mesmerised by the ring. "It's perfect," he whispers. I look at Gabriel. He's not looking at the ring, he is looking at me with an expression that is mixed between
