Redo Of A Healer Novels & Stories

Inexorably, they’d become star-crossed lovers, and he would keep his distance precisely because he wanted her too damned much. Irrespective of her words of assurance, Dev felt like a heel as he watched her pretty face devoid of any trace of blood, as white as the hospital bedsheet, the protruding scars of her wounds a cruel reminder of his atrocious behavior. An age-old bitterness filled him, and as he gazed at her beloved face, a new determination took life within him. At that heart-wrenching moment, he vowed fiercely to himself that he would bring a certain positivity in her life, a silver lining in her dark existence.

The scene was chaotic, but I ignored them and looked at the doctor. "How is the patient's condition?" Dr. Patterson removed his protective gear and nodded at me. "His condition is stable. He regained consciousness briefly, said what he needed to say, then fell back asleep. However, from now on he cannot engage in any strenuous activity."

Ryder and the brown wolf were able to kill a large number of the rogues, though some managed to escape, pursuing Elaira. Lain fell to the ground, gasping for breath as he could not hold on any longer. Slowly, the two wolves approached him and turned into their human forms. The fur receded and bones reshaped. The black huge wolf was revealed to be Alpha Kayden, the legendary Alpha, feared by all for his cruel rule, while the brown wolf was his beta, Magnus. “Take him to our pack and have him treated,” Alpha Kayden commanded his beta, then turned to Lain. “Now I owe you nothing.”

The healers looked at me ready to lunge into action, their eyes darting to the warnings on the monitors. “Alpha Raven… we need your permission!” a healer urged. Swallowing the lump in my throat, I took a deep breath. Gathering myself and my racing thoughts, I stretched out my palms. “Immediately begin the stabilization protocol…” Green mana threads shot out of my fingers suturing Ezra’s wounds that had reopened. “Increase the painkillers dosage…” I instructed my team, and they swiftly followed. “Use…” I couldn’t explain how, or who, or why — but deep down, I knew.

"Senna, did you think getting a second life meant you could do whatever you wanted? Too bad. This time around, I came back too." Her pupils shrank. The color in her face faded completely. "You... You were reborn too?" I did not answer. I just looked at her. Maggie rested a hand on my shoulder. Her voice was gentle, but the weight behind it was unmistakable. "Gage, the police are already downstairs. What do you want to do to her?" I looked at Senna's face, the same face I had once been obsessed with. Now, all I felt was revulsion. "Whatever she did to me and my father in the last life, I want it paid back a hundred times over."

The first one grabbed my glowing hand to pull me away from Noah. He screamed. The sound cut through whatever trance I was in. I watched in horror as the sentinel's hand began to rot where he touched me. His skin blistered and peeled, revealing muscle and bone underneath. The decay spread up his arm like a disease. He fell to his knees, still screaming, clutching his ruined hand to his chest. "What did you do?" one of the other sentinels yelled, raising his sword. Before he could strike, the healer appeared. She moved faster than I'd ever seen her move, sliding to her knees beside the injured sentinel. Her hands glowed with healing light as she pressed them to his rotting arm.

“Bring the healer.” The command rolled across the hall, sharp and final. One of the guards bolted, returning moments later with a man dressed in pale robes, smelling of herbs and sharp iron. The healer fell to his knees beside the rogue, hands glowing faintly as he sealed the bleeding gashes. The rogue’s chest heaved, breaths evening out as strength slowly seeped back into his battered frame. The room was silent except for the sound of healing and the occasional whimper of the rogue. My gaze flicked to Alaric again. His expression was cold, detached, as though this were routine, as though life and death were tools at his disposal.

"To reject a Moon Healer is to condemn oneself. The bond is not easily severed—and in some cases, it cannot be. Their magic entwines with the mate thread. When severed improperly, both suffer. But only one survives." I sat back hard against the wall, the stone cold through my thin shirt, grounding me as the implications sank in. Kael was feeling it now—the backlash of what he'd done. The fraying, corrupted bond was poisoning him slowly, just as his rejection had poisoned me. But while my pain had transformed into power, his was simply destroying him from within.

He mixed a vial of his blood with a dark brown liquid, and placed a droplet of it on my tongue. Clement was a decorated healer who traveled the world, someone who knew more than a kingdom combined. He was the only other healer I had met besides myself and my sister, and I vehemently begged him to teach me after he saved my life. Due to the rarity of our species, he did. After Theodore grows up, maybe I would join him in his travels to heal people. But there was something that needed to be done first. I did not fulfill one of the two missions of my new life.

"My heart's failing. The backlash is killing me. In about three minutes, the decision gets made for us." Rosa moved forward, ignoring Pierce's warning growl. She knelt beside Sandra, her senses reaching out, touching the dying woman's mind.. "Let me help you," Rosa said quietly. Sandra's eyes opened, confused. "What?" "Let me heal you. Not for you, for Elena." Rosa placed her hand over Sandra's heart, feeling it stutter and skip. "I'm a healer. I can remove the backlash, stabilize you long enough to disarm the spell properly."
