My Monster

My Monster

'Then listen to me. Her presence wraps around my frayed nerves like a cocoon. 'You're focusing on the pain. Shift your attention inward instead. To your core.' I close my eyes, breathing in and out. Amber's voice guides me: 'Find the spark in your chest. The one that feels like heat... but not physical heat. It's your healing trigger. Touch it.' I search for it, and then warmth washes over my body, fading the pain. I release a shaky breath, relieved.

Okay so I won't lie, I was tempted to stop reading at one point. I felt it was going slower than I like, and I didn't understand why this super strong tribrid was the way he was. BOY WAS I IN FOR IT. I'm glad I didn't stop reading. That twist was.. WOW. Was NOT expecting it. I enjoyed this story!

I loved this book and am looking forward to reading more from this author and the next book of this saga. The author doesn't leave an question unanswered or unnecessarily drag the story out. The ability to keep the continuity of the story from beginning to end, was spot on. A great read!

Her Alphas.

Her Alphas.

“Drink.” She obeyed, grimacing at the bitterness. “Still awful,” she muttered. “You say that every time.” “And you still make it.” “You need it,” I countered and she just waved me off. I set the cup aside and wiped my hands. The movements were automatic. I had learned them years ago—how to measure, how to watch pupils and breathing, how to notice what others missed. Healing wasn’t magic the way stories made it sound. It was patience. Focus. Care.

And maybe that’s what healing actually looks like. Not becoming a different person. Just finally feeling like yourself again.

Science fiction: The believable impossibilities

Science fiction: The believable impossibilities

Dear Honey, I see you healing more since ysterday. Here's your today's dose of positivity and stress-reducer letter: Wounds that do not heal soon will also be fine one day. You need not imagine an unhealed physical state. Power is within. Life needs a place to re-begin. You grant life that open space. Come cultivate good health on soil, and pluck up weeds that have long stayed. That’s life. That’s in life’s stage. We cannot counter self nor health, for the two links strong. Love of self helps heal the wound. Else what reason to your mind for healing with you give?

I was more than pretty

I was more than pretty

I was simply here, doing something that made me feel whole. When the last batch cooled, I sat at the table with a cup of tea, watching the sunlight spill across the counter. My hands were dusted with flour, my hair slightly undone, and the air smelled sweet and alive. That was when it hit me — healing doesn’t always come as a revelation. Sometimes, it’s a quiet return to yourself. It happens in the smallest moments: the sound of a spoon scraping a bowl, the feel of warm ceramic between your palms, the simple act of breathing and realizing you are safe again.

Heal My Wolf

Heal My Wolf

he adds, “the more you attempt to heal—“ He pauses just long enough to create tension. “—the worse the condition becomes.” No one writes that down. “Now,” he says, turning to us fully, “how do you heal someone under its influence.” Silence returns to the class. Everybody is turning to face each other. A hand raises. “Remove it immediately.” “No.” Another voice comes from the back of the class. “Override it with a stronger restorative compound?” “That will accelerate the damage.” The tension tightens again.

she shares with the group quietly. Everyone is intensely listening to Jenna as they are curious how the healing works. “If I healed you, then you would have felt warmth and a sense of peace come over your body. For me I absorb your pain or injury. If you have a broken arm, I have a broken arm. If you have a cut, I have that same injury although you may not see the blood. I then need time to heal myself, which can take hours or days depending on the severity of the injury.

Healing with the monster

Healing with the monster

"They built a weapon. This entire Theatre is a massive transmitter. If we play the Zero Tape, it won't just heal the people in Owerri—it will permanently rewrite the 'Void' code in every brain on the continent." Julian stepped behind me, his arms wrapping around my waist as he looked at the console. "It’s a 'System Restore' for humanity, Elara. But to trigger it, you have to stay connected to the transmitter. The surge... it could burn out the 'Gold' in your blood forever. You’d just be a normal girl again. No more hum. No more light." I looked at the "Gold" scar on my arm, then back at the microphone. I thought of my 410 readers. I thought of the students at FUTO. I thought of the life I wa

Forever in the Past and Forever in the Future

Forever in the Past and Forever in the Future

"Nothing will happen. It will just make me extra sleepy. I promise." He sighs heavily, letting his arms drop to his sides in defeat. "Okay, I don't want this to turn into a fight, so if it will appease you, fine. You can try to heal me. What do you want me to do?" A sense of relief spreads over me. "Thank you, Bronx. Thank you so much." I sit up on my knees and pull him down to sit on the bed. "Just relax, think about what it feels like when your back is well... not full of lash marks. Don't think about me. Don't think about anyone else. Just imagine what you look and feel like when you are one hundred percent healthy."

I just finished Book 2 and it was wonderful! So many emotions to work through and so devastated by the death of a beloved character T-T (no direct Spoiler). So excited to read the next book in the Blood River Universe AND Book 3 of Kas and Bronx’s story. <3

I started mindlessly, thinking it was cute. But it turns out to be WAAAAY better than that. The story is well written, the plot is riveting, and the characters are so genuinely full of life, it is a bliss to read through. This masterpiece has everything of a best-seller! ...️
